"Morning, Morning!" (Y/N) was awakened by someone pulling the bed sheets from her body. She groaned, facing away from the person who had tried waking her up. The girl didn't even pay much attention on who was inside her house at the moment. She just wanted to sleep for the whole day. But, fate decided otherwise. Why was she so tired to begin with? Well, she spent the whole night talking on the phone with a certain blue headed.

The night prior she didn't regret going to sleep at such hour, since it was pretty late. But now, she did wish she had gotten some sleep. Since she had school the next day. Nothing she could do about it now. "Come on, you have to wake up. I made breakfast. I also noticed you didn't prepare your school uniform for the day. So I went ahead and got it ready for you!" The voice sounded awfully familiar.

(Y/N) finally decided to blink her eyes, trying to waken herself up. Plus, the cold from the room was making her shiver already. She turned around, her eyes clashing with a pair of green orbs. The girl sat up, rubbing her eyes and yawning. Believe it or not, she didn't seem bothered by the presence of this person. Maybe because she was still half-asleep. "Eri? What are you doing here..? Where were you all this time?"

The woman with rose gold hair chuckled nervously, looking at the girl with a tiny smile. "Sorry, there were some things that had to be taken care of. But, everything is fine now. How have you been?" She sat down on the girl's bed, placing her hand on (Y/N)'s knee.

"I'm fine, and you do know we have a few topics we have to discuss, right?" The woman nodded in return, and sighed. "Yeah, I know. That's why I woke you up extra earlier." (Y/N) checked the time, seeing that she indeed, had woken her up earlier than usual. She still had more than an hour to get ready. "Seriously? Don't you know how tired I am?" The girl grumbled to the grown up, who snorted at her tired expression.

"It's not my fault you went to sleep at 4 AM almost 5 AM." She didn't question how Eri knew that, but asked her about what she wanted to talk about. "Look, I want to keep things simple, alright? Remember I told you it's not my place to explain everything." (Y/N) nodded.

"Your Mother, a few years ago left her hometown for a "job promotion". It of course was a lie, it had to do with you. With your condition." This made (Y/N) raise an eyebrow. Her condition? Did something happen to her as a child before coming to the lab? If something did happen, she can't recall. Eri noticed her confused look, but continued on her explanation.

"This might not make sense now, but it will. Look, Lia wanted everything for you. She'd do anything for you, to keep you happy. All she wanted was for you to be safe. But, she was tricked, the government promised her something, though they did not keep their side of the deal. As sad as it sounds, she had to leave you behind. She couldn't do anything to help you. Because of the deal she made, she didn't have custody of you anymore."

This made the girl scoff. Was she an object now?

"I'm no one's property, you understand me?"

"I understand you're mad. But unfortunately, you are. You are now their property." (Y/N) frowned, looking out the window now. Nothing made sense. Why would her so called Mother do that? "Why did she make the deal? What was the deal to begin with? What was her reason?" She questioned the woman.

Eri gave her a sad smile, squeezing her knee gently. "I'm afraid this is how far I can tell you. But I can tell you something else. A group of people worked for the government as well, people who were tricked. Similar to Lia. Your Mother found out about this, and wanted them to join her. To rebel, and take a stand against them. A lot of them joined your Mother, including me."
