I wake up at noon the next day. I heard from somewhere that sufficient sleep is helpful when you are in a bad mood, and it turned out to be true. I feel less depressed compared to yesterday.
I called for room service. As I gobbled down my lunch, I can't help but remind myself of the days when I had my meal with Monika next to me. A year ago, Monika was a really good cook. The meal she made was the best food I've ever eaten. Sure, the food may only be a simple dish, but the elements of love and the heartwarming moments of having a meal together makes it a hundred times better. The room service is nowhere close to being bad, but everything feels bland without Monika's company.
I spend the entire afternoon thinking about the aftermath. I was too late to get Monika back, that's for certain. One Year is apparently too much and Monika lost her affection towards me. Even though that is my fault, there isn't much I can do for now. But what David said was right. 'Let her be and move on. There are plenty of nice girls out there.' I shouldn't dwell too much on this broken relationship. I could move on with my life and if I am lucky, I might meet another girl by chance.
I am about to head out of my room and check out when I suddenly remembered one thing. The micro SD card I found yesterday. I take the SD card out of my bag and examined it closely. It is a model with a very large storage of 512GB, typically used to store a large amount of videos or photos with very high resolutions. Why is Monika giving me this? And who does she had to do so secretly?
With numerous questions in my head, I proceed to plug the SD card into my laptop. After a few seconds I realized the card was encrypted with 256 bit AES. I couldn't read the data inside unless I had the the password. Or maybe......
I decide to meet up with Gavin and Jason after I am back in H city. I will give the SD card to Jason and ask for his help. He is an expert at cracking passcode and he is someone I can definitely trust in.
I checked out and paid my bill at the counter of the hotel. Then I bought a ticket and headed back to H city by boat, just like how I came.
(the next morning)
Jason and I knocked on Gavin's door. We texted one another earlier and it was decided we would meet up at Gavin's house.
'Come in! Make yourselves comfortable.' Gavin greeted us with a smile as he opened his door.
We three sit down at the table. 'So A13, you wanted to meet up with us because you wanted to talk about your journey to K city, right? You said to in your texts.' Gavin said.
'This is correct.' I replied. 'I travelled to K city a few days ago in an attempt to find Monika......'
'Did it go well? Do you know where she is?' Gavin asked eagerly.
'Gavin, judging by the fact that he didn't bring Monika here, he probably didn't find her.' Jason said. 'How could you not deduce that? This is common sense.'
'Hey! It is possible she is at A13's home......' Gavin defended himself.
'Okay guys.' I interrupted. 'Jason, please don't jump to conclusion too quickly. Yes, I did find Monika. And yes, I did meet her. But things are a bit complicated afterwards. Let me tell you guys the whole story.'
I spend the next thirty minutes telling them about my journey. How I asked those citizens with a picture of Monika. How I got nothing for the first two day. How I was finally able to track down and meet Monika, only to discover she had given up on me and moved on. Gavin and Jason listened closely and silently the whole process.
'In short, I found her and she is living well, but our relationship had come to an end.' I concluded. I managed to deliver the whole speech without shedding a single tear.
