I wake up at 10 am, still feeling a bit tired. I didn't sleep much last night as I spent most of the time thinking about that question. It costed me a good night's sleep but I had made up my mind.
I am going to save Monika.
After pondering and considering the greater good of everyone, I came to a conclusion that saving her would be the best option. If I ignored her suffering and move on, my conscience would haunt me for the rest of my life, and I will likely enter an endless cycle of self condemnation. Sayori won't be happy either because she valued her friend's happiness, and now that she knows about Monika's condition, she would feel the same as I do if I don't save her. As for Monika, no need to state the obvious, right?
That being said, saving her requires me to travel to another country and break into a mansion, best without anyone knowing. The last time I visited David's mansion, I noticed there were at least 20 guards. That is definitely not all of them, so bashing in and going all out Rambo mode isn't an option for me. I will have to play smart, and by playing smart I mean avoid fights whenever possible and try to be sneaky.
I had my brunch with Sayori, who had also waken up late. I told Sayori about my decision and I get to see her brightest smile I've ever seen as a token of agreement. After washing the dishes, it's time to prepare for the fight and make plans.
First up, equipments. I went into my bedroom and opened a locked drawer. I carefully take out my P90 and handgun, along with some ammo. I move those firearms into the living room and gently placed them on the table. I need to do a tally on what I have.
P90, 2 magazines, 50 ammo each.
Desert Eagle, 3 magazines, 7 ammo each.
And a combat knife.
I have 121 ammo in total. That is definitely not going to be enough. I need to head to a base and fetch some more. Fortunately, I am a division leader and I have full access to my entire divisions arsenal.
I went back into my room and opened another drawler. I moved another bunch of tactical equipments carefully onto the table. Those equipments are crucial to my entire operation and I need to assess them now.
5 packs of C4 explosives.
2 stun grenades
And a frag grenade.
After consideration I decide to get some more of these as well. I am not saying I am short on tactical equipments, but the more the merrier.
'Hey A13......Woah, is this a gun?' Sayori said as she comes out oof her bedroom. 'And what are those white bricks?' She reached her hand in an attempt to touch my C4.
'Sayori, no.' I quickly grabbed her hand and stopped her.
'Ouch, you don't have to be this forceful!' Sayori withdrew her hand and moaned in pain. 'Meanie!'
'Sayori.' I said. 'These are high power explosives. You shouldn't touch everything you see out of curiosity. A small shock might set it off.'
Satori takes a seat next to me. 'So this is what you use to save Monika?' She asked.
I explained every piece of tactical equipments to her. Those are not hard to understand and soon she had a rough idea of my plan.
'Those equipments are not going to be enough.' I added. 'I am going to head out later and bring some more back.'
I went into my bedroom once again and opened my closet. I took out the bulletproof vest and tried it on. It is in perfect condition. I am of course not going to deliberately run into a bullet but in case I got shot this can save my life.
