She smiles "I love you" "I love you more" you say smiling "why is it so easy for you two to make up" Tanya asks "I don't know" "you remind me of your father and I when we were you age" Laura says "so like a century ago" Paulina says "we aren't that old" "mhmm yes you are" Sofia corrects their dad.

Driving along the coast jamming out to music was one of your favorite things to do, especially with your 4 and a half year old son Eli you have from a previous relationship. Sofia's like he's second mommy he even calls her that, you love seeing her read him bedtime stories and play with him.

Sofia taps you on the shoulder and gives you a small smile "you ok babe" "of course I am just a little- your sentence was cut short when your exs contact name popping up "let me take this" you say Turing off the music and picking up the phone.

Hanging up the phone and turning around to face Sofia you give her a frown "he's stomach still isn't better" "aww my poor nephew" Tanya says "he said he wants his mommy and mama there to" "mama?" Sofia's dad questions "Sofia" "oh he calls her mama?" "It's a switch between Aunty Sofia and mama" you tell them texting back Scott "how long were you with Scott" Paulina ask.

Everyone knows you and Scott's marriage is unspoken territory, it only ever came up in conversation when Eli was mentioned "since freshman year if high school" Tanya answers for you "I remember how he blushes around you big jock Scott had a big crush on drama nerd y/n" you laugh at the memory "so you guys were together for longer then 10 years?" Sofia asks.

You never spoke about Scott to Sofia, they never liked each other he found about you guys dating from Eli. God that little kid couldn't keep his mouth shut about Aunty Sofia "yeah it's not a big thing really it was on and off, he had baseball and I had acting our careers were more important then each other. That was till we had Eli came along we thought he would help save our marriage boy were we wrong. Things changed if I wasn't his top priority before Eli I definitely wasn't after not that it made a difference, Eli is and always will be the most important thing in my life."

You look at Sofia through the mirror as she raises her eyebrow "you guys looked happily married from my perspective" Laura says "we were in most ways, there was no cheating or falling out of love the spark just disappeared and even if we were in the same
House or bed he felt a million miles away" looking down and holding back tears you feel a hand on your shoulder.

You let out a scoff and roll your eyes "you guys are insane Scott's married and his wife is pregnant I don't plan on being a bitch and breaking up someone's marriage even if it's for Eli, and he loves Sofia he knows she's gonna be around for a long time." Sofia's mom sits up and gives Sofia a concerned look "hits him? My parents used to give me beatings but not hit me"  "he came home with a massive bruise on his hip once" sofia admits "why didn't you report it?" Paulina asks concerned "I did it's the reason he gets him weekends she goes to her parents to visit she's there this week to" they all nod."

As soon as you arrive Sofia pulls you to aside "hey what's wrong?" She pulls you into a powerful kiss and wraps her arms around you "nothing I just really wanted to tell you that love you and Eli ." kissing her again you can't help but smile at the thought of her actually being Eli's mom "well we love you to" "come on let's go" Sofia says grabbing your hand.
