"How was your first day of school, honey?" Mrs. Kim asked from her spot on the couch when the door opened. It was silent until she heard small sniffles. Quickly getting up, she rushed over to her son, wanting to know what had happened. "Seungmin, why are you crying?"

He shook his head rapidly. "I...m—made a friend," He whispered shakily. He wasn't crying because something horrible happened to him, he was crying because he didn't know how to express how happy he was.

"Honey...I'm so proud of you. You've been doing so good lately." She spoke quietly, trying to hold in her own tears.

His bottom lip quivered slightly at the praise, feeling like he finally did something right. The tears kept coming and coming, almost as if they would never stop.

"Can I hug you?" She asked softly, a hopeful glint in her eyes.

After wiping away the tears on his cheeks he nodded. Not even seconds later he was engulfed by his mother, the sweet smell of her rose scented perfume filling his nose. Ever since he hugged her yesterday, he had been longing to be in her arms once again. She made him feel so safe, so comfortable.

They stood there for a minute, maybe multiple minutes while his mother just rubbed his back, whispering in his ear about how much she loved him.

Both of them had to wipe away their tears when they pulled apart. Mrs. Kim gave her son a loving smile, "Wanna talk about your new friend?" He nodded, following her out to the living room. "So are they a boy or girl?"

He pointed to the right, indicating the second option. The two had developed a nice little system over the years for them to communicate easier.

"Is she nice to you?"

A wide smile spread across his face as he nodded once again.

Seeing how happy her son was caused a smile of her own to grow on Mrs. Kim's face. She'd give the world for her baby to be happy again, that's all she's ever wanted. "Can you tell me her name? You can write it down or we c—"

"Shuhua."

Mrs. Kim looked up and saw her husband standing in the doorway, looking equally as happy as his wife.

"I can't believe we all have the same home room!" Jisung squeaked as he interlocked him and Felix's hands. The four (Jeongin included) were currently walking to Chan's apartment from school.

"How was your day Innie?" Hyunjin asked the younger boy as he didn't get to see him at all throughout the day.

A small pout formed on the boys face, "You guys are all together, but I'm alone."

Felix reached over and pinched his cheek, "Baby, you have to make friends with some of the kids in your classes."

"Chris! The kids are home!" Changbin yelled when the group finally made it to the small apartment.

Chan ran into the room excitedly. "Jeongin, baby tell me all about your first day!" He gushed as he pulled Jeongin towards his bedroom.

Rolling his eyes, Minho rubbed his temples, "He's been whining about how much he missed Jeongin all day."

"You've been here all day? Get a job loser." Jisung taunted, sticking his tongue out a the elder.

He let out an exaggerated sigh, "I have a job."

Changbin groaned as Jisung and Minho continued to bicker. He turned to the two left, "School was okay? No bullies?"

"Hyunjin was kinda mean to me."

"You asked me for the answers...for your portion of the get to know me worksheet." Hyunjin deadpanned.

Felix placed a hand over his heart, "You guys know me better than I know myself, of course I was going to ask you."

He leaned back onto Changbin, "Bin, I think he's in love."

Not knowing what he meant, Hyunjin's face scrunched up, "in love? With who."

A grin spread across his face as he let out an excited giggle. "You don't know?" Hyunjin's only response was sitting down on the couch. "You spent all hour staring at that mute boy the same way Aisha was staring at Ms. Jessi."

"He's mute?"

He shrugged, "He was in a couple of my classes last year, I've never heard him speak."

A small smile flickered across Hyunjin's face, that didn't go unnoticed by Felix. "I don't think he's mute...he probably just has bad anxiety or something. I saw him at the therapy center a couple days ago—well I ran into him. Like actually ran into him—I knocked him over becuase i wasn't watching where I w—"

Felix placed a hand over the elders mouth, trying to get him to stop rambling. "But what I need to know is, do you like him?"

"I've barely even met him, Lix. Maybe he's interesting...but It's probably just because I want to be friends with him."

Sitting down next to him, Felix put an arm around the boy. "You should talk to him."

He pushed the younger boy away from him, "I don't want to scare him."

Felix rolled his eyes, "Hyunjin! For gods sake just try to be friends with him...it'll either won't work out or it will, simple!"

"Fine! Fine I'll talk to him!"
