The house on top of the hill.

The house on top of the hill was built in the victorian era years of dirt and grim was apparent to anyone who could see it, but it was quite clean inside. It belonged to a certain h/l h/c haired girl. It was early in the morning the sun barely rising over the houses on the highest part of the hill on the other side of town.

She lived in a fairly decent part of the slums. It had a low crime rate anyway. School started in 3 hours and the bus came in 2. So she was up early catching up on her favorite show before getting ready for school. Her phone began to ring so she paused her show picked up her phone and answered. "Hello?" The other end of the line was silent. "Who is this hello?" Again silence. "Ugh whatever I'm hanging up." She hung up the phone and put it on the table in front of her. She was about play her show once more when the phone rang again.

She grabbed it hesitantly but when she saw the caller ID she answered it. "Hey girl what's up watching your favorite show again before school?" Her best friend Emily said. "How'd you know? What are you even doing up anyway?" She said laughing. "I know you bestie! And I'm up because my mom wanted me to go on a tour of her businesses. So I'm afraid I won't be at school today! I'm sorry Y/n!" Emily said dramatically.

The girl groaned knowing its gonna be incredibly boring without her best friend. "Whaat seriously? What am I gonna do without you Emi? It's so boring when you're not there." "You'll survive Y/n it's just one day! I'll call during lunch kay?" She said laughing. "Alright Emi I'll see you tomorrow. Talk to you later." "Bye girl." The girl hung up and began to get ready for school.

I put on my headphones as I sat down on the bus. It began to rain softly as I looked through the window. The bus ride was long and quiet. When I finally arrived to the academy it was pouring. I opened my umbrella and trudged through the gates. I never minded the rain it was calming and brought me a sense of peace.

I walked into my math class to see Zen reading a book at his desk. I sat down and smiled at him. "Hi Zen. What are you reading." He jumped and looked up but when he saw it was me he smiled and showed me the book. It was a Harry Potter book. I gasped and looked at him smiling more. "I love Harry Potter! What's your house? I'm h/h!" (hogwarts house)

He looked slightly amused and happy that we shared a common interest. "Y-yeah it's my favorite book and movie series. I'm in H-hufflepuff house." Zen said softly. "Hufflepuff is a great house hard work, dedication, and loyalty." I sat down as the bell rang. I pulled out my books and beginning to start on my work. "Uh-um Y/n where's your friend? I noticed that you came in alone so." He whispered quietly as the teacher began to recite problems on the board.

"Yeah unfortunately I'm alone today. She's out on a business tour with her mom." She said sighing as she stretched in her seat. The boy blushed and looked away realizing that he had been staring at her the whole time. He looked back the work he was supposed to be completing.

'This is easy I can finish this no problem.' He looked over at her page to see that she has already finished half of it. He looked back at his work quickly hoping to be done soon so he could continue to get to know the girl.

They both completed the problems with relative ease. Afterwards the rest of the period was spent writing notes to one another. They learned each others likes, dislikes, and other random things.

Since it was raining so heavily outside the class was being held in the gym. "Okay! Everyone line up!" The class all stood one after the other, sighing at having to participate. "Since we are in the gym today. We are gonna pick from a few activities to join." He spoke with a booming voice. "You can choose between dodge ball, volleyball, and soccer!" He held up each ball as he announced the games. "Make sure you have an even number of players for any games you pick!" He blew the whistle and everyone began to form their teams.
