Monster's in disguise

《Your POV》

The flash of light had sent an enormous wave that knocked me back. My staff ripped from my hands as I felt my body collide with the wall. As I fell to the floor it began shaking and crumbling under me. The house trembled for what felt like hours. Then there was nothing but silence.

I slowly got to my feet my body aching. I groaned and clutched at my ribs, blood trickling down my leg once more. Senri's body was in a crumpled heap across the floor his red hair strewn over his face. Something felt wrong as I approached him. His mouth slightly open as a small groan escaped his lips. I gasped and smacked my hand over my mouth. 'Were those...fangs? No this is insane. It's not possible.' There was a loud crack throughout the otherwise silent room. The gem from my staff had cracked down the middle and I quickly ran to it. "No please! You can't be broken!" I grabbed it as tears ran down my face pulling it close to my chest. The gem gave a faint fluttering glow as if to say sorry before it went dark. "I'll fix you I promise, but first I need to get out of here!"

I bolted out of the room as fast as I could and ran to the front door. I threw it open and was about to run outside before I stopped and looked at my surroundings. "Well, this just keeps getting better and better." The road was gone along with the massive gate that surrounded the house. The house had somehow been transported to God only knows where. "How does the house even have electricity still?!" I asked myself as I shut the door. I slid down to the floor and curled up into a ball. "I must be crazy for not running right now but I have no idea where the house ended up. I could get lost or end up dead." I mumbled to myself as tears once again pricked the corners of my eyes. "This is so not fair! Why me?! It could've been anyone else?!" I shouted. Minion trotted down the stairs and sat in front of me. Her tail lightly tapping the floor. "What?" I asked tilting my head. She lightly tapped my foot with her paws before whisking upstairs. I ran after her as she ran into my bedroom. I don't know why but something told me to find a way to lock my door. I remembered something that my grandmother told me one day when we were spending time together.

《Flashback》

"Grandmother?" I asked as I carried a large basket filled with strange plants back towards her house. "Yes dear?" "What are those weird letters and carvings around your door for?" She chuckled as she wiped a smudge of dirt of her cheek. "Those weird letters are called runes. They keep unwanted visitors out and protect my house. I'll teach you about them one day." She gave me a soft closed eye smile as we made our way in.

《End Flashback》

'I can't remember what they are dammit! And Senri took all the books.' I groaned and stomped my foot trying to think of a different plan. 'Maybe barricade the door?' I thought before Minion gave a loud meow before jumping on top of a book that hadn't been there before. "Wait it can't be. How did you know I needed this how did you even get it?" Her face simply gave a look that said just take the book. She leapt off it and walked back over to my bed.

《Small Time Skip》

I wiped the sweat from my forehead as I finished scratching the last part of the protective symbol. The runes glowed brightly before burning themselves into the doorframe. "That should keep them out. Now to wait I suppose." I flopped on my bed and groaned into a pillow. Time seemed to pass slower and slower. All I could hear was the ticking of the clock at the end of the hallway, I soon fell asleep as the sun began to set and the full moon began to take its place.

《Travis POV》

'Everything hurts. I feel...strange' My body ached with pain as I stood up with a grunt. My head was killing me. I looked down at what were supposed to be my hands only to see them covered in white fur with razor-sharp claws. I let out a roar of anguish and confusion before stumbling backwards and tripping on the rug. The room shook as my butt hit the floor. I wanted to scream but I was in a deep state of shock at this point all I could do is let out grunts and roars. I got up and scrambled my way to the bathroom I could barely fit through the door. I had to crawl to see my reflection, but what I was saw wasn't me at all. A beast. A terrifying beast with piercing blue eyes covered in shaggy white fur, horns, sharp fangs, and claws stared back at me. 

《Tatsuki POV》

"...What the hell happened...is my princess okay?" I asked myself as I stood up groggily. I walked as fast as my body would let me, walking past a disheveled mirror on the way to her door. I stopped short and slowly backtracked. Who I saw staring back definitely looked like me...but it was all wrong. My hair had a soft golden glow to it as did my eyes, I had horns, beautiful ram horns etched with golden patterns, and I had noticeably sharper teeth as I opened my mouth. "What has Senri done?! What did he do to me...to my princess?! It must've been those stupid books!" I shouted as the mirror shattered, the moonlight casting many reflections on the glass covered floor. "What have I become some sort of monster...demon?" My breath became ragged as I made my way towards Y/n's door...but there was no door anymore, just a wall. "I don't understand her door was right here! What kind of voodoo hoodoo crap is this?!" I yelled punching the wall.

《Senri POV》

'What happened...my throat is killing me.' I sat up, clutching my head feeling a newfound headache forming. Getting up I slowly staggered my way towards the open cell door. "She must've escaped...but she couldn't have gotten far." I mumbled dragging my hand along on the wall for a small bit of support. I licked my lips as I felt my thirst grow more present. "I need a drink before anything, I feel like I'll die if I don't." I picked up the pace as I made my way to the kitchen. I quickly grabbed a glass and filled it with water, gulping as much as I could. But it wasn't enough, I might as well have been drinking air. I turned on the sink again shoving my head under the flowing water gulping it down but to no avail. Shaking the water out of my hair I ran to the fridge and grabbed anything that would help. Milk did nothing as did soda or juice. Even liquor felt like it was just passing through my body without a trace. My mind was wracking itself for answers but finding none. "I'm so fucking thirsty..."

《Zen POV》

'I'm cold...so cold...' My eyes popped open as I became more aware of my surroundings. Most of my books and knickknacks had fallen to the floor when the house shook. I tried to remember what happened after that, but it was all a blank. I ran my hand through my hair as I stood up and walked around picking up the mess. I know I should be worried but all I could do was just pretend everything was fine. 'I feel so weird.' I thought as my fingers and hands felt numb to everything I touched. 'I don't think I can even feel the floor beneath my feet.' I slowly walked to my bathroom my stomach growing knots as I drew closer to the mirror. I looked at myself analyzing my reflection seeing that my skin was deathly pale translucent even, and my lips had a slightly blue tinge to them. The scariest part of it all was my eyes they had become milky white. 

《Ichigo POV》

'I'm so sorry Y/n...I never meant to let this happen.' My eyes popped open, sitting up with a pained grunt my chest was wrapped tightly with a blood-soaked bandage. I grimaced at the sight as I knew what was written underneath. 'TRAITOR.' I sighed clutching the bedframe my hair draping over my face. I froze as I felt my heartbeat send a wave through my body. Clutching my chest, I fell to the cold hard floor letting out cries of pain. I felt sick to my stomach, my body felt like it was on fire. I couldn't stop screaming, tears were flowing freely down my face as a red haze took over my vision. My teeth were growing as my face elongated into a snout. My skin was covered in blood as black fur began to cover me from head to toe. I thought about nothing but the pain I felt. Throwing my head back letting out an anguished howl before I felt the monster, I had become take over my mind.
