The atmosphere became awkward when the unwanted visitors left. Jiaqi avoided looking at Xueer who was still standing beside the closet awkwardly.
"So..." Xueer started, She just want to get rid of the awkwardness enveloping them. "Uh..." She really have no idea what to say.
"C-Can you go home." It was more like she's instructing Xueer, Not asking her to. She still avoided Xueer's gaze because once she did, Jiaqi knew she won't be able but to feel even worse than she is right now.
"You know that I heard everything, right?" Xueer asked and walked closer to Jiaqi who felt her approach and immediately look up, Their eyes met. "I know you did and it means that we have nothing more to talk about. So please just leave." Jiaqi pointed at the door and sighed.
"Everything makes sense now. Thank you, Jiaqi." Xueer said with a smile. Jiaqi met he gaze and gave a look of confusion. "Thanks? For what?" She asked.
"You did it for me. And I'm sorry for saying those words to you, I didn't know that the situation was like this."
"You don't need to apologize, Xueer. I knew I hurt you and I'm sorry for that." Jiaqi showed her an apologetic look.
"I understand everything now." Xueer smiled.
"Jiaqi." She called out after.
The older girl looked at her with her eyebrows raised, asking the other girl what the matter is.
"Aren't you tired? Of all these? Like following everything your parents want? Aren't you sick of them?" Xueer asked.
Because she? She really is. Her parents are really strict and treats her like a 15-year old which is what Xueer hates the most. She's an adult yet her own freedom isn't on her hands. She just wants to be like the other girls in her age are.
"Of course I am. I really hate my life." Jiaqi smiled but Xueer knew that there's pain behind that smile.
"What if..."
Jiaqi waited for Xueer to finish her words. She saw how Xueer hesitated spitting out what she was about to say. She's like nervous, uneasy and unsure.
"What if..."
"We..."
Xueer finally said another word.
"What if we r-runaway from them?"
Jiaqi's eyes widened after Xueer finished her sentence.
"What?!" The older's yell was heard.
"Look. Just give it a deep thought." Xueer started doing random gestures with her hands as she slowly walked around the apartment.
"You're sick of them and I feel the same way."
"We both just wanted freedom in our hands."
"So why don't we just runaway from them? Isn't that a really good idea?"
Jiaqi saw the sparkle in Xueer's eyes. She isn't sure whether the girl is serious right now or she's just fooling arounf again.
"Are you serious right now?" Jiaqi crossed her arms.
"Dead serious." Xueer replied and plastered a serious expression.
"You know what I'm also serious with kicking you out of my apartment. Now go home before I drag you out of here and an argument start again." Jiaqi said.
"I am not leaving this apartment without you, Jiaqi. Pack your stuffs. We'll go far away from them." Xueer said.
"Oh yeah? Do you have any idea where to go? Do you have enough money with you? Do you have your stuffs? Right. You're serious with this little silly game of yours." Jiaqi remarked.
"I may have nothing with me but at least..."
Xueer stepped forward, closer to Jiaqi.
"I have you."
