The next morning came faster than the two girls thought. Both of them weren't able to bring themselves to sleep because of what happened last night. Checking out from the motel, They entered Jiaqi's car and started are about to start their ride again.
"So... Where are we off to now?" Asked Jiaqi as she placed her hands on top of the steering wheel.
"Guangzhou. It's just about less than 3hr ride from here." Answered Xueer.
"Okay. Off we go."
Jiaqi started driving off. The whole ride was quiet once again because they still felt awkward after what happened last night between them.
It was past 2 in the afternoon. Jiaqi is still driving while Xueer sat still on the shotgun while staring outside through the window when Jiaqi's phone, which is placed on the beverage holder (yes, she placed it there because it does fit), has started ringing.
The two eyed each other because they knew what's about to happen.
"Are you going to answer?" Xueer concernedly asked. "Yes. Can you hand me the phone?"
With Jiaqi answering the call with shaking hands, Xueer stood there nervously waiting for the outcome.
"WHERE ARE YOU, JIAQI? YOUR CLOTHES AND OTHER STUFFS ARE NOT HERE IN YOUR APARTMENT. EVEN YOUR CAR ISN'T HERE. TELL ME WHERE THE FUCKING HELL ARE YOU!"
The yell was really loud that it made Xueer flinched and Jiaqi needing to move the phone away from her ear and putting it back on the beverage holder and pressing the speaker button so both of them could hear the person from the other line. Jiaqi surprisingly didn't feel fear or nervousness with her.
"ANSWER ME, JIAQI!" Another yell was heard. It hasn't been 10 seconds yet since he yelled at Jiaqi but the man sounds to desperate for a quick answer.
"I'm with my girlfriend." Jiaqi said without stuttering.
Xueer's eyes widened in suprise. She's the only one Jiaqi's been with all this time, Does that mean she's the girlfriend that Jiaqi was talking about?
"Girlfriend." The girls heard a scoff from the other line before everything went quiet.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, YOU LESBIAN?!"
Both girls flinched not just because of the yell but also with the term. Jiaqi clutched on the steering wheel, She feel tears beggining to form in her eyes because of anger but still focuses on driving.
"IT'S THAT KONG XUEER AGAIN, AM I RIGHT?"
Xueer's heart started beating faster with the sudden mention of her name, Again, From Jiaqi's parents.
"ANSWER ME, XU JIAQI."
"YES. IT'S KONG XUEER."
Jiaqi responded almost instantly, not wanting to hear another word from her father.
"I'm not going back anymore because I am fucking tired of all your shits. Leave me and my girlfriend alone."
The older sternly said before ending the call.
"J-Jiaqi, I---" Before Xueer could even say her sentence, The older, who just finished wiping away her tears, spoke.
"If you're going to ask why I told them that you're my girlfriend, Stop. We almost did "it" yesterday and I know we feel the same way. You're not allowed to break up with me, Got that?"
Jiaqi showed a wide smile at Xueer who also returned a smile.
They knew they'll be together 'till the end.
