12 // warm

A week had passed since the couple moved to their new hime. In those days of the week, They were lucky to have found a decent and good paying job in the local convinience store. Not just the work pays good and is easy to do but they'll also be together because they share the same shift.

It was hard for them especially on the first few days. None of them knows how to cook, They are both not used to doing household chores.

But the girls knew they'll be able to do this. They chose this and there's no turning back. Besides, they knew that they only need a few more time and they'll learn all the things they need to learn as a domestic couple.

"Put it here."

Xueer instructed her. They are currently arranging the drinks that the store sells in the refrigerators.

"No. I'll put it here. Not there." Jiaqi said and placed the drink on the part where she want it to be placed.

"No. Look, Beers should be here. Not with the can of softdrinks."

"Aren't they placed on the same place? They are still both cans though."

The innocent Jiaqi only recieved a chuckle from her girl and befote she even knew it, The can was taken away from her and she was instructed by the younger to get back to the counter incase a customer came.

Jiaqi did her job alone at the counter while stealing glances to her girlfriend arranging the store products in each aisle. Most of the time, Xueer would catch her and Jiaqi would just turn away and blush furiously.

When their shift ended, The sky already looked dark because of the rain continously falling from the clouds.

The convinience store is just a 15-minute walk away from their apartment. Luckily, though they have no car with them, The girls brought an umbrella for them to share under the rain.

Jiaqi was the one holding the umbrella due to her being the taller one. Their hands brushes against eaxh other.

Xueer wants to hold Jiaqi's hands and the older want to do thw same but neither of the two have the courage to do the first move.

It's cold, Xueer shivered slightly and Jiaqi didn't fail to notice it so she quickly wrapped her arm around the younger's shoulder.

Their eyes met when Jiaqi did the action but Jiaqi quickly looked away and cleared her throat.

"Ehrm--- I-I" she stuttered at the start. "I--I think you're c-cold. I-I can make you feel warm, you know?"

Xueer smiled.

So they've been thinking the same thing this whole time? Wanting to keep each other warm.

"Hmm..." Xueer hummed. "It's cold. I'm glad you are here with me. Your warmth is exactly what I need during this kind of weather." Xueer breathed and moved closer to Jiaqi, Hand hanging on the older's waist.
