A Quarantine Serenade

My communication routines

have been blown to bits and scattered

They say it's due to quarantine

I guess it doesn't matter

the poorest timing, I can't keep up

How many days now has it been ?

This situation's got me thrown

And I can use a helping hand

This came without any warning

But we can figure it out

Cause It's a beautiful morning

And such beautiful sky

And your beautiful eyes

Will watch it fall down

Now they're burning the courthouse downtown

I hear the Devil's walkin the streets

Well I hated that place anyhow

I wish they'd burn my memories

The world is turning upside down

The end is near, it appears to be

the apocalypse is now closer to us

Than you are close to me

And I'm sorry for all the lousy ways

I tried to tell you how I feel

I'm not so sure it makes a difference

In a world that's so surreal

I know I said that I would let you go

And promised to set you free

But summer's here and if time is short,

I hope you don't forget me

The sky is falling

I'm learning to live with it

Without you by my side

The lord is calling but I can't hear it

because the volume is much too high
