The Autumn Call

Saturday night
Put its arms around me
As I fell into the universe.
Swimming in September twilight
Looked into those eyes of hers.
Exposed beneath the starry night
Swaying in a boozy, autumn haze
Floating in the frothy head
Poured a'top of sunny days

This was the Call.

Come Fall, come lovers
To heed the  call
Come one, come all
Come sing along
For this is the invitation to send
An invitation to beginning of the end
A celebration for family and friends
And a passion pit for lovers to descend
