Your grip on the reigns tightened as you listened to the mixed reactions the citizens within the walls were giving you and your friends.
"Pull on those reigns any harder and your horse will freak out. Ignore them" Your boyfriend, Levi Ackerman, told you. You turned your head and sighed, realizing your horse was beginning to gallop ahead of the rest of the squad.
"That's Captain Levi!" You heard a kid's voice say. You couldn't help but smile at your boyfriend, who was in the middle of rolling his eyes.
"He's humanity's strongest soldier! Ma, look!" The voice continued.
You smiled even wider at the nickname. Levi was recently dubbed 'Humanity's Strongest Soldier' and he hated the name. Although the nickname you gave him, 'Mr. Shorty' wasn't his favorite either.
"Look at that. You have some fans, babe" You laughed.
"Shut up" Levi glared at you. You playfully rolled your eyes.
You never could understand why your boyfriend didn't show much emotion unless he was behind locked doors with you. It was almost funny how different he could act when you two were alone. For one, you'd found out two weeks into your relationship that Levi Ackerman, known for being practically emotionless, was extremely needy.
"So what does humanity's strongest soldier wanna do now?" You asked as you sat in Levi's room at headquarters. You had both just finished showering (separately. your relationship was still fairly new) and now you were bored.
"Don't call me that, y/n" Levi frowned.
"I don't get why you don't like the nickname" You shook your head.
Levi sat next to you on the bed, "It's annoying. That's why"
"Being called strong... is annoying?" You raised an eyebrow.
"Yes," Levi nodded.
"People like the idea of a hero, Lee" You interlaced your fingers with his, "And after everything that happened last year in Shiganshina, they need that symbol of hope. I guess, unfortunately for you, they've decided to make that symbol you"
"That's bullshit" Levi scoffed.
"Plus" You smirked, "It doesn't hurt that you're totally hot"
"and that's just degrading" Levi squinted his eyes.
"What?! It's true" You pouted.
"Well in that case, you're hot too" Levi raised his eyebrows.
You pursed your lips, "... Alright, fine, you're extremely handsome and attractive"
Levi slightly smiled at you, "And you're beautiful"
"Thank you" You smiled.
"Are you just gonna sit there and smile or are you going to kiss me" Levi asked.
"You needy fuck" You muttered before you leaned in to kiss him.
