Unexpected

Chapter 4

2 weeks have passed and I'm starting to get a baby bump I told Hayes and he said that we should just tell everyone before hand. I agreed so tonight I'm joining his family for dinner and we're telling his family about the baby.

"We have some news," responds Hayes.
He looks at me.
"I'm pregnant."
Everyone looks at me then bursts out laughing.
"Good one Hayes!" Laughs Nash.
"No. We're serious," Hayes responds. "She really is pregnant. Prego. Pregs. Pr-"
"Ok Hayes. They get it," I say embarrassed.
"Well congrats!" Smiles Elizabeth. " you guys will be great parents."
Hayes and I smile then we excuse our selfs from the table and we go upstairs.

HAYES' POV
I can't believe that I'm going to be a father. I honestly am happy about it. I've always wanted to have kids. I just wonder what it's going to be like.

BACK TO MADDIE'S POV
I take Hayes upstairs because I needed to talk to him about the baby. I got a text on my phone from Dr. Fern. She says that since it's going to be 1 month soon she wants me in for a checkup.
Once I tell Hayes we have a brief conversation.
"I can't believe that we're going to be parents!" He says, "I'm actually excited."
"Me too."
Hayes has me sit down on the chair in his room.
"What are you doing?"
"I want to see if I can hear the baby," he responds.
I pull up my shirt a little bit just enough for him to hear it.
"I can't hear anything." He kisses my stomach before standing back up.
"Your going to be a great mom."
He pecks my lips.
We return downstairs to finish our pasta until I have to throw up again.
Hayes comes upstairs and holds my hair back for me.
"It's ok baby. It's ok," he says to calm me down. "It's ok."
I finish and I rinse my mouth out.
I decide to go home. I fell asleep extra early that night but with a smile on my face.
