Hayes and I are shocked.
2 girls!? I couldn't believe it!
"Congrats!" Says the doctor, "I can also tell you that you will be due on December 24th! Christmas twins!"
"Wait a minute," says Hayes. "This is January. She got pregnant in December.She is only supposed to carry the babies for 9 month. Your saying 12?"
"Yes," says the doctor. "Twins take about 2 or 3 months longer than just 1 baby."
"Will she be in more pain if she has to carry them for longer?"
"Most likely. Not much more though. Probably just more of a weight gain."
Hayes looks at me, "are you ok?"
"Ya," I respond.
"Ok then! Would you like a copy of your ultrasound then?" Asks the doctor.
"Yes please," we both respond.
The doctor gives us the ultrasound and wipes the gell off of my stomach.
He dismissed us and we were free to leave.
*we get in car*
"So we are having twins!!!" Hayes says excitedly.
"Yup! I can't believe it!"
"Well, are you ready?"
"I think so."
"Don't worry. You were a great girlfriend, now your a great wife, your a great cook, a great kisser-"
"A little too far with the kissing," I laugh.
"Sorry, well anyway, your good at all those things! You are going to be a great mom also."
"Thanks, Hayes."
Hayes leans in and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"I love you," he says.
"I love you too."
