Unexpected

Chapter 1

"Mommy!Daddy! I don't want to move!" I scream as everything is being loaded into the Uhaul.
"I'm sorry sweetie but we have to. This house is just too little," My dad replies.
I plop onto the ground and pout. (Yes I was a spoiled brat)
The movers were carrying the last boxes out of the house as I sat on the driveway.
*car honks*
"Maddie Sweetie get in the car. We even have Pinky bear in here for you. If not we're going to our new house without you and I'm sure that pink bear would miss you," my mom calls out.
I jump at the thought of my Pinky Bear.

My mom buckles me into my car seat as we head off to North Carolina, leaving my old house in Michigan behind.

I wake up right at the crack if dawn with my pinky bear in my hand and Cinderella playing on the TV on the backseat of the mini van.
Right when we pull into the driveway of our new house, I see 3 boys in the front yard of one if the neighbors' house wrestling around with a football.
They all run into the house once our car pulls in. I didn't see the faces because I was too tired so I just go back to sleep.

I wake up for the 2nd time when the doorbell rings at about 11:00am.
I go downstairs with my nappy bed head and Pinky bear. I end up tripping at the first step because I'm not used to as big of a staircase. I go right to the door where my mom was talking to a pretty dark haired lady. I walk up to them.
"Oh! Good morning Maddie. You finally woke up," my mom says unusually extremely nice.
"What's up with the fake smile?" I respond. Mom gives me the death stare.
"Sorry mommy." I say as I droop my head.
"Aww she's so cute!" Says the pretty lady. "My name is Mrs. Grier but you can call me Elizabeth," she states as she reaches out my hand for me to shake it. I hi-5 it instead.
"Hello. My name is Madison Elaine Henderson but you can call me Maddie," I respond in my most professional voice.
"Too cute. How old is she?"
"5 years old," my mom says before I can tell her.
"Coincidence! I have 3 sons, Will who is 14, Nash who is 9, and Hayes who is her age."
"Umm. Hello! My name is Maddie-"
"That's nice," my mom responds covering my mouth with her hand.
Elizabeth gets on her knees to talk to me.
"You can go over to our house which is next door if you want. My sons are very nice and I bet that you will like them. Especially my youngest. His name is Hayes. You'll probably like him the most."
"My daddy said that I'm not aloud to like anyone until I'm 70."
"Not like that." giggles Elizabeth, "you'll just like to play with them."
"Ok! Let's go over now!" I'm so excited!
"Ok. Is it ok if I take her over there to meet them?"
"Absolutely!" My mom replies,"have her home whenever."
I leave with Elizabeth holding my hand as we walk to her big house.
"Hey boys get down here!"
Then the 3 boys that I saw this morning jumped down the stairs.
"This is our new neighbor Madison."
