*Adelaine's POV*
It has been around two years ago, where I got drafted for the army. It was a hard thought of mind leaving my family behind. I really wanted to help fight for our country. It had always been on the top of my list, for most of my life. Two years since I have been apart from my beloved family. I left for the army, when I was 19 after doing a year of basic training. I haven't spoken to my family for a year now, because if how busy the army has kept us. I always kept a small photo of My parents, and my beautiful younger sisters; Dixie and Charli. Dixie Jane had the most lovable voice, and Charli was an amazing dancer. I miss them both daily, leaving them was the worst. I have been there since their beginning of their lives. I grabbed my photo of my family and stared as I remembered the heart breaking day where I found out I was beening drafted for war.

It was a normal day, I was working as a Barista for Dunkins since Charli enjoyed her cold brew with caramel and whole milk. It was the end of my shift at 6 pm. I got into my car listening to my favourite playlists and just jamming it up in my car.
As I park the car and head inside I always checked the letterbox, and I found bills to my parents and there was one addressed to me. I carried the mail in, placing it onto the kitchen table and went to the pool area, in our backyard with our dogs. I swiftly opened the letter to find it was a deployment letter from the army, that I would be stationed in South Korea.I stiffened up a bit when I heard my mom call for me, she came up to me, as I sitting on one of the chairs outside.
I re-read the letter multiple times.
"What do you have there?" My mom asked, as she sat down beside me.
"Its...a letter from the army...I'm being deployed to South Korea." I replied softly.
I looked at mum to see her eyes filling up with tears.
"I going to miss you mom." I said as I wrapped my arms around her, she softly wrapped hers around me as well.
"Mom? What's going on? why you crying?" Charli asked from behind.
I spoke up, "...Char bear I have no why to tell you this...but...I am being deployed." I responded.
"No...no there's no way. Laine...please don't go." Charli said whilst she runs up to me, and starts crying besides me. By that time, Dad and Dixie came to us as well, to see what's going on, they both had come back from Dixie's track meet.
"Why is Char Bear and Mom crying, Adel?" Dixie asked, as she and dad approach. Dad could see a piece of paper still in my hands.
"I'm sorry, but I am going away for some time, I have been deployed to South Korea, Dixie." I said, softly.
"No, please, no. Who's going to sing with me and who's going to dance with Charli?" She said, as she got sadder.
"I will always be with you, in your hearts. I promise I will come home to you. I will write letters and I will be back before your 19th birthday." I said and bought them all into a hug.
