Some warning there, will be some flashbacks on Adelaine in the army, the not so good times and yea, just wanting to put out a trigger warning and if you feel uncomfy or it triggers anything than you can skip over this chapter. Pretend she went to her family home and Dixie and some of the Hype house decided to stay at the D'Amelio home.
That night, when I went to bed, all I dream about was the training and brutality of being in the military. Every time I shut my eyes, I fear the worst, the times where bombs were set off killing many soldiers. Bullets, being shot every where. Almost every 5 seconds more bullets were fired. I woke up in the dead middle of night, panting reliving my worst nightmares, I awoken to nothingness. I threw the covers off of me, unintentionally waking up Dixie. She shot straight up, and jumped to her feet, "Adelaine?" She asked, softly, lowering herself back down onto the bed. "Sorry for waking you up." I whispered to her. "What's wrong? Is there something wrong?" She asked. I shook my head, "No...no...just nightmares, everything is ok, Dixie." I replied. "I need.......air...air." I said, and jumped off of the bed, grabbing hold of my phone and shoes in hand, and ran out of the room. I ran out, down the stairs and out of the front door. I tried my hardest to block out the shouts that Dixie were making, I needed air and space. I just kept on running, and running and running. After awhile, I eventually ended up and a park. I didn't have the right, appropriate clothing, so to say the least I was cold, shivering. The wind blew, making the leaves of the trees fall. The leaves were brushing against each other. The sounds of wildlife, were only of beetles buzzing around and light being only shone by the street lights, as everything else were asleep, like everyone should be. It was late at night in fact. Most sensible person would sleep at this hour. After finding a place to sit, Adelaine put her shoes on, and comforted herself by hugging her legs to chest, and swayed side to side, before starting hum a tune.
(Lost Boy by Ruth B. I don't own any of the lyrics, credits go to the singer.)
There was a time when I was alone
No where to go and no place to call home
My only friend was the man in the moon
And even sometimes he would go away too
Then one night, as I closed my eyes
I saw a shadow flying high
He came to me with the sweetest smile
Told me he wanted to talk for a while
He said Peter Pan that's what they call me
I promise that you'll never be lonely
And ever since that day
I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the Woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
Run run Lost Boy, they say to me
Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And lost boys like me are free
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And lost boys like me are free
He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
Believe in him and believe in me
Together we will fly away in a cloud of green
To your beautiful destiny
As we soared above the town that never loved me
I realized I finally had a family
Soon enough we reached Neverland
Peacefully my feet hit the sand and ever since that day...
I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the Woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
Run run Lost Boy, they say to me
Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy darlin
Even Captain Hook you are my perfect story book
Neverland I love you so, you are now my home sweet home
Forever a lost boy at last
Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy darlin
Even Captain Hook you are my perfect story book
Neverland I love you so, you are now my home sweet home
Forever a Lost Boy at last
And for always I will say
I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the Woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
Run run Lost Boy, they say to me
Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Adelaine didn't know how long she was out there for, nor did Dixie could find her, nobody could reach her phone, that night.
