Willow
As we drove I had been so zoned out by the sights, and thoughts that had crossed my head that I barely realized that Dalton had completely passed up the shop.
" You passed the shop." I said to Dalton pointing over my shoulder.
He nodded his head.
" I know."
I raised an eyebrow.
" Dalton we have work. We're going to be late."
He shook his head.
" No we won't because we have the day off."
" What are you talking about?"
He looked over to me well we were at a stop light.
" My parents gave us the day off."
" Why though?"
" I asked them too."
I scrunched my face up in confusion, twisting my body in the seat to look over at him.
" Okay, you're confusing me. Then where are we going."
He shrugged.
" You'll see."
I huffed, turning to face forward in the seat crossing my arms over my chest.
The red light had turned green and we started to drive.
We sat in silent, until I could handle the silence.
" Are you kidnapping me?" I questioned breaking the silence.
He chuckled.
" No, far from it." He said.
I sighed.
" Then where are we going?"
" It's a surprise."
I groaned leaning my head against the back of the seat.
" I hate surprises. The last time I got a surprise it was a way of my parents telling me they were planning on getting a divorce."
He looked over to me with a raised eyebrow.
" I thought your parents were still together when your mom..." He paused. " Well ya know."
I nodded.
" They were. We weren't exactly the richest family. My dad was still in uniform when my mom died, so that wasn't giving him much money, and my mom worked in diner. All their money was going towards bill, and just simple life things. The money they did have left over they put aside for the divorce. But my mom got sick before they could even raise half of the money, they decided to use that money for the little chemo she did, and well you know the rest from there."
I hated talking about my mom, or anything from that time of my childhood. It really knew how to put me in a bad mood.
" Can I ask a question?" Dalton question.
