The week ended with a party at Levi's house. It's been two weeks since I came back to Albright and I fell into the groove of the environment with no problem. Knowing there was a party or get together every few days was preventing me from dwelling on my emotions from the winter.
Just like the Memorial Kick off party Levi hosted a few weeks ago, this party was full of people and drinks, the music flowing from room to room. I can't complain about the position I found myself in that Friday night. Sitting in one of Levi's two living rooms, smoking a blunt, surrounded by friends, with Rose's arm draped around me as she sat on my lap. I kept my hand around her waist as we passed the blunt and laughed with our friends.
Ever since our dinner a few nights ago, Rose and I have friendship. A friendship of two people who kiss every now and then. I'd be lying if I told you I didn't kiss Rose that night after dinner. How could I not? She looked great and the tension was there. Having her on my lap was also a prime spot for me to land flirty kisses on her neck, which she returned. Kissing is where it all stopped with Rose, though. As much of a man as I am, anything beyond fun kissing was not something I was interested in for the time being. In between laughs and a few kisses, Rose took her phone out and snapped a photo of me.

"How are you so hot even in a candid photo?" she asks.
"You're only saying that because you're trying to get in my pants, Rose." I joke with her.
"Maybe I am" she joked back, "But that doesn't change the fact that you're fucking gorgeous. When I tag you in this, all my friends are going to go crazy."
I laughed and leaned back. Being told I was physically attractive was a nice feeling. I don't put too much emphasis on my own physical appearance but I have always been told I was attractive. All of that changed after Sarah, when the darkness I felt inside took over my physicality. Knowing Rose found me attractive told me those feelings were slowly going away.
Levi sat down next to me, placing a red cup in my free hand while the other arm was still draped around Rose's waist. I sniffed the drink he placed in my hand. I don't know what it was but it smelled dangerous. I took a big gulp of it any way. Levi motioned with his eyebrow at Rose, who was still on my lap but busy scrolling through her phone to know what was going on.
"Damn, Archie, you didn't put any work it and you already pulled a girl" Levi joked as he slapped my shoulder.
I laughed as I took another sip of the drink, but shook my head.
"Nah, I'm just having fun. It's not like that" I said with a smile.
He rolled his eyes jokingly before standing up and tapping Rose, who's attention was finally taken off her phone.
"Just make sure you guys are using condoms!" Levi yelled at us over the music.
I pushed him away jokingly and turned to Rose who immediately turned her phone to me.
