It's been a weird few days, to say the least. I've hung out with Rose a handful of times, but haven't heard from Sunny. Not that I blame her. It was a dick move of me to leave her the way I did that morning, making her feel like I didn't want anything to do with her. Which is why I was surprised when Levi told me about Sunny's get together, and that I was invited.
The nerves hit me as Levi's Mercedes pulled into Sunny's estate. Don't ask me why I was so nervous, I couldn't tell you. It was early afternoon when we walked through Sunny's house into her straight-from-a-carribean-resort backyard. Expensive, cozy lounge chairs lined the infinity pool that overlooked a private beach. Top knotch, servers were walking around offering food to the guests. It was a bit more than I expected.
Levi led me through the crowd as he was greeted by other party-goers, introducing me along the way. It wasn't before long that my attention was caught by the sight of Sunny. Standing about twenty feet from me, wearing a short, tight yellow dress, her hair up and away from her face with a few curls framing her face. Damn, she was beautiful.
"Come on," Levi said, noticing where my eyes were lingering, and pulled me along as he made his way to where Sunny and Clara were standing, laughing in the middle of a conversation.
