This is just Iwaizumi fluff but I'm sorta basing it off of the day I had for some comfort-love :) and yes I did inhale black pepper so have fun living through it with me (it still hurts omg)
"Baby, I'm heating up leftovers you want some?" Iwaizumi calls from the kitchen, poking his head into the next room when he doesn't hear your answer.
"You alright, love?" He stared down at your slumped form. You were slouched on the couch, practically drowning in one of his hoodies. Today had been a pretty bad day for you. You were on your period so your emotions were all over the place. On top of that, it started to rain pretty hard while the two of you were out running errands. Because of the hard rain and wet roads, the car started to hydroplane a bit. It wasn't anything too bad but it still spooked you. You were just in a funk.
"(Y/n)," he sighed "Come on, baby, let's eat some food, huh?" He pulled your torso up off the couch but you let him carry your dead weight.
"uuuughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." you groaned. Iwaizumi just chuckled and bared your weight to carry you to the kitchen table. He reheated the food the two of you got earlier and placed the plates on the table in front of you. Eating when you were feeling down and out always made you feel better and talking with your favorite person was a big bonus.
Iwaizumi got up from the table once he was finished eating to wash the dishes, "Hand me your plate when you're done." You replied with an 'okay' and went to finish the last bites of your pasta. When you shoved the last bit of food into your mouth, a bit of pepper slipped down the wrong bite. Throwing your fork down, you reach for your cup of soda to try and ease the intense burning in your throat. You upturned the cup to find that there was only a drop left in the cup.
"What's wrong?!" Iwaizumi asks when sees you frantically searching through the fridge. At this point your throat and the inside of your ears were absolutely on fire.
"No *gasp* *cough* it hurts!" You gasp and choke through the tears streaming down your cheeks. Every breath you took seemed to flare up the pain even more. Iwaizumi quickly dried his hands on a nearby tea towel and held your wrists.
"Hey stop pulling your ears. What happened?" He asked pulling your hands away from your face.
"I was eating *gasp* and pepper went down the wrong way *cough*." Your face was hot and slick with tears and most likely snot.
"I need you to breathe for me, (Y/n)." Iwaizumi instructed. You tried to listen to him but the coughing was uncontrollable.
"Water please *cough*" You rasped.

After Iwaizumi had gotten you to calm down from the heat and the tears, he sat with you on the couch. Well, more like you sat on him as you were in his lap, cradled in his strong arms. You somehow managed to stub your toe on your way to the couch and broke down in another fit of tears, Iwaizumi sighing and carrying you the rest of the way.
"You've has a pretty rough day, huh?" He speaks lowly into your ear as he kiss the crown of your head. You nodded and sank further into him, your cheek smushed against the crook of his neck.
"What am I gonna do with you?" He squeezes you and rolls over to hover over you, blowing a raspberry into your neck. You laugh at the sudden sensation and push at his forehead.
"You can love me? That sound good?" You ask, your hands smooshing his cheeks, lips puckered out like a fish.
"I guesh sho," he responds. You laugh and pant a soft, sweet kiss on his lips.
"I love you."
He removes your hands to properly kiss you, "I love you too."
WHEW so this happened to me (the unfortunate stuff not the kisses) and I was SO sad. Like inhaling black pepper??? I wanted a return on my life. I had the birth certificate locked and loaded lmao
