Why am I getting lost? This school isn't even that big!
You were currently trying to find your way to the gym. You were new to the school, having just moved from (country), and your teacher recommended that you sign up as a manager for the volleyball team seeing as most of the other clubs were full. You didn't really mind that you were being forced to join a club as you were excited to meet new people and learn more about this strange place.
You were stuck in your thoughts when you suddenly walked into a really solid object. Looking up, you see you bumped into a really big person, not an object. Wow do I feel short
"Oh sorry! I wasn't paying attention..." You awkwardly chuckle offering a kind smile. The giant in front of you seems shocked as he stands there with his eyes blown wide, staring at you.
"Uhh, hello? I didn't hurt you did I?!" You asked frantically looking at him for any sign of injury. That seems to snap him out of his trance.
"Oh no no no! I...uh...well I'm just not used to people talking to me without running away in fear afterward." He says still kind of shocked.
"Why? You don't seem scary to me." You blink up at him with large, perplexed eyes. He seemed to be going through an inner turmoil as he looks...touched? moved? constipated?
"Oh well, thank you! I'm A-Asahi Azumane by the way." He smiles weakly. "I'm (y/n)(l/n)! Do you by chance happen to know where the gym is?"
"I was just on my way there, I could bring you?" He says quietly nervously smiling.
On the way to the gym, you and Asahi converse and get to know each other better. Him finding out about you applying as a manager and you about him being the ace of the volleyball team. It was obvious that the gentle giant was still flustered about you not being scared of him but, you had the urge to befriend him. You just couldn't understand how people could be so afraid of Asahi. They didn't even take the time to know him if they run away whenever they see him...
You're once again drawn out of your thoughts when Asahi slides the door to the gym open and steps down into his gym shoes. You're school back in (country) had a gym but it wasn't as well kept as this one. The floors were polished and the equipment looked decent enough to almost be called new. It even had a second level!
"This gym is so cool!" To exclaim to Asahi with stars in your eyes.
"Really? It's not as impressive as Shiratorizawa's gym..." He scratches the back of his neck.
"Oh please, it's amazing! Way more than my school ever had!" You laugh following him into the gym.
The noise of chatter and laughter draws attention from a few of the players on the court and a teacher on the bench. You wave to Asahi before walking over to Takeda-sensei to introduce yourself. Two rowdy second year take notice of this and immediately pounce.
"Asahi was a girl actually talking to you?" Nishinoya fires. "A cute girl at that!" Tanaka adds on. "What's her name?" "What year is she?" "She's not scared of you?" "Yeah, why is that?" "If she talked to Asahi will she talk to me??" "I don't know Ryuu, you're a different breed." "HEY!"
"Will you idiots shut up, you're scaring him." Sugawara jumps to Asahi's defense as Daichi grabs the back of their shirts. Shortly afterward, Takeda-sensei calls for the team to gather around.
"This is (y/n)(l/n), she'll be a manager along with Kiyoko-san and Yachi-chan. Show her your respect!" He announces.
"Hi! As you've heard I'm (y/n)(l/n)! I look forward to working with you guys! Please take care of me!" You introduce yourself and bow deeply.
"Wait till city boy hears this! Three beautiful female managers!" A boy with a bald head shouts and high fives a shorter boy with spiked up hair with a blond tuft in the front. At his words, you giggle and shake your head at their antics. A boy who appears to be your age walks over to you.
"Hello, (l/n)-san! I'm Sugawara Koushi, it's nice you meet you!" You shake his hand and return his greeting.
"I'm quite curious as well, how come you're not afraid of Asahi? Most of the people that come near him mistake him for a thug and run away scared out of their wits." He says with a confused look on his features.
"Well, a lot of the men I knew in my home country were bigger than Asahi. So I guess he's a new yet familiar face." You say with a small smile.
OKAY I plan on making a part 2 to this but this was just a good place to end for now lol
