Chapter 12:
Zayn’s POV
‘Great job Ni, getting us into Saturday detention was that your plan all along?’ I tease as he starts to apologize for like the billionth time.
‘Guys I’m truly sorry, I just wanted to help out Li and well It backfired after not thinking of an escape moment’ he says. We all laugh and go over to his desk giving him hugs so he feels better. We’ve learned through time he calms down with hugs. Louis with a bag of carrots. Harry by playing with his pussy cats. Liam by singing. And I well I guess pushing people away is my strategy that way I don’t get hurt as much. But with these 4 morons I think I can spend a lifetime together. They treat me as a mate and I feel welcome unlike everyone else who sees me and flinch or run away. It’s kind of funny; at least I don’t have to make a line for lunch.
We all huddle around waiting for Saturday to pass by quickly so we can go to our first gig. Apparently one of our classmates is Nando’s manager’s daughter and she asked her dad if we can perform. After yesterday’s awesome performance we couldn’t say no to his offer, plus we are getting paid! YES! I can buy more hair gel! Don’t judge me being this perfect doesn’t come cheap.
‘Earth to Zayn. We are going to play “Never have I ever” want to join?’ I hear Liam say as he’s waving his hand in my face! I nod and we all put up 10 fingers.
Louis POV
‘Never have I ever kissed a boy’ says Harry and I’m the only one who puts a finger down. Seriously! I thought Zayn for sure was gay! Guess not. They stare in shock. ‘That’s right Harry I got my eye on your beautiful curls’ I say and we all laugh as Harry brushes me off.
‘Never have I ever touched a girls boob’ I say and Zayn. Harry, Liam and I all put a finger down. Poor Niall so innocent. ‘Does my mom’s count?’ he says. ‘NO’ we all yell and he just starts to laugh. ‘Well at least I’m winning!’ he mocks
‘Never have I ever kissed a girl’ says Zayn and all of us put a finger down. Figures I mean we aren’t stupid.
‘Never have I ever had a crush on a boy’ says Niall and none of us put a finger down. I’m lying though. Im not gay but its kind of hard not to have a crush on Harry his curls are perfect his dimples are cute and his eyes! You just want to drown in them.
FOCUS LOUIS! Or you’re going to lose! ‘Never have I ever broken a bone and each time costs another finger’ says Liam
‘DAMN IT I LOSE! I’ve broken my wrist 4 times and my leg twice!’ I say as I get up and go for a drink of water as the boys al start to laugh.
Harry POV
With the game being over we all go back to being bored until I see Meli by the door calling me over. I get up, open the door and give her a peck on the lips because the teacher in charge of us always goes to the teacher’s lounge to watch TV. She’s here to talk to Niall. Ever since the hospital we’ve been ok but Meli never apologized in person so when I texted her that I was in detentions with the boys she came right over. I watch her go over to Niall’s desk he watched her for a while as she talks and then he talks. I’m still a bit jealous, they get along fine and talk like they’ve been friends forever. Not that I’d ever bully him again it’s just….I don’t know his blue eyes make people do crazy things. Like with Liam’s mom or the old lady from the candy store. It’s actually funny but not when it involves my Meli. They signal me over after having one of his Horan hugs and Niall destroys all envy I had with just a few words.
‘Harry I know it was probably weird to watch us talk again but know that Meli and I are just friends, I’ve never fancied her and she’s never fancied me. And I’m hoping now that all 3 of us are friends maybe we can do projects together with the boys and stuff. Liam’s been a bit down ever since Dani …and I just want him to feel better so the more Meli and Mel can support this band thing and his depression the better it’ll be on all of us.’ I nod and am relieved he’s cleared things up. I don’t know how he does it but it’s probably his Irish charm. Now I just can’t wait till tonight.
