IN REAL LIFE.

it was currently 9pm and the social bash prom has been going on for hours. right now, it was time for the creators and fans to interact so that meant she was able to take a sit somewhere and relax. alaina knew she wasn't that big of a deal so nobody would bother asking her for photos.

she made her way to the top of the auditorium, where nobody could really see her. jules and daniella had left for the hotel room as daniella had a massive stomachache after stuffing her face with the snacks at the buffet. alaina got on her phone and started scrolling through her instagram.

however, her peace and silence was interrupted by the sound of a familiar voice who had taken a seat next to hers.

"so you and mattia huh?"

alaina turned to face this voice and swallowed the lump that was forming in her throat. right next to her was none other than her first love. vinnie hacker.

"thought you didn't care?" alaina said in a low voice and diverted her attention back to her phone. "right." vinnie said, clearing his throat.

the pair sat in a suffocating silence, staring at the crowd beneath them. eventually, alaina couldn't take it anymore and broke the ice. she faced him with a straight face. "are you happy with her? does she make you happy?" alaina said, in a monotonous tone.

her words were clearly a shock to vinnie as his eyes widened, which was a sign that he was taken aback by her sudden question. "um yea i guess" he replied, playing with the rings on his fingers. "great. then i'm really happy for you vinnie. you should go and find her. tell her how much you love her. hold on to the things that keep you happy because you'll never know how'll be in your life." alaina said, as she stood up and adjusted her dress.

"bye vinnie." alaina said as she began walking away from in regret. a part of her had wished that he would have stopped her. tell her how much he still loved her. but he didn't. instead, he stood up and started walking the opposite direction. like as it their conversation didn't existed.

alaina sighed in disappointment and started making her way down the auditorium when an announcement which silenced the audience caught her attention.

"and the prom king and queen of tonight's social bash prom goes to.....mattia polibio and alaina carter!"
