Chapter 9: Combining Pack's

I was standing at a river side, sand surrounding us. I knew this from my past life. I was in Texas. Suddenly I was standing in front of Jasper as a brunette woman was on his right, Maria, and Victoria on his left. But he looked different. His clothes were of the time period and his eyes were blood red.

Maria was whispering something in Jasper's ear when Victoria leaned in.

"Jasper."

Maria spoke in Spanish again.

"I want you to do something for me." Victoria stated.

Maria spoke in Spanish one last time.

"Kill her." Victoria stated.

Jasper stalked towards me dangerously, but no matter how much I begged he wouldn't stop as Victoria and Maria smirked. Jasper dangerously lunges at me.......

Lilly's POV:

I woke up with a gasp, my heart beating 100 miles a minute.

"Hey, hey, darlin'. You alright?" Jasper asked concerned.

"Y-yeah, just a bad dream." I frowned, but I couldn't stop thinking, and then I put the pieces together.

"Darlin' what is it? What's wrong?" Jasper asked.

"The intruder, the newborn army, they're all her puppets." I frowned as Jasper looked at me confused. "Maria, I- I mean Victoria."

"Alice would have seen her decide if she wanted to make an army." Jasper said.

"Unless she's hiding behind them and she's letting someone else decide." I pointed out.

Jasper nodded, knowing it made sense.

"Darlin', why did you say Maria?" Jasper asked curiously.

"You escaped while she was still alive." I sighed. "Do you think that she may be still alive?"

"I don't know darlin'." Jasper sighed. "Why?"

"I don't know, I- I just have this feeling we're going to get blindsided in battle, on-way or another." I frowned.

My phone went off.

"It's Bella." I told him. "She's staying away with Edward."

"You should too." Jasper said making me look at him in disbelief.

"You're kidding right?"

"No. Because we don't know if Victoria saw you phase, and if she's there I want you far away enough from battle. And you won't be sitting out, you'll be protecting Bella. Please, baby?" Jasper asked.

"Fine." I agreed then text Bella back, telling her that I'm staying away too before I got another message.

"Bella and Edward need to meet us, Jake, and Paul ay the clearing." I told Jasper. "You know where it is?"

"I picked it myself." Jasper nodded as we got dressed and ran to the clearing, making it the same time as Bella, Edward, Jake, and Paul.

"You're not fighting?" Jacob mocked Edward. "What, did you pull a muscle or something?"

"He's doing other for me, okay?" Bella huffed.

"Whatever." Jacob scoffed.

"What's the plan?" Paul asked.

"This field will give us an advantage in battle." Jasper told us. "We need to lure the newborns with Bella and Lilly's scents, but it needs to end here."

"Edward, Bella, and I are going to a campsite. Even if he carries either of us, they'll still pick up on our scents." I told them.

"Your stench, however, is revolting." Edward stated.

"Dude, you really don't want to start comparing stinks." Jacob frowned.

"What he means is that your scent will mask mine if you carry me, same with Lilly and Paul." Bella clarified.

"Done." Jacob and Paul agreed.

"This is not a good idea." Edward frowned.

"Edward, they won't want to get anywhere near their....." Jasper paused trying to find a word less insulting for their stink. "Odor. Plus we can't smell Lilly's scent. So if it works for Bella I know it'll work for Lilly."

"Okay, lets just try it." Bella said going over to Jacob as he picked her up.

"Eu de wolf coming up." Jacob joked.

"Run." Edward told him with a frown.

Jacob ran fast into the forest with Bella.

"So I came for no reason?" Paul huffed.

"No, we needed you to agree to this too." I shrugged.

"A simple call would have sufficed." Paul joked, bumping my shoulder.

"I'm going to go check their path." Jasper quickly bolted into the forest then came back instantly. "All I picked up was wolf stench, no Bella."

"Watch it." Paul growled at the word "stench".

"Stop, he's just saying it worked." I told Paul, making him roll his eyes.

"It will work." Jasper assured Edward.

"Great." Edward frowned.

Later:

I was now getting ready for the ritual to combine the packs.

"Honey, you ready?!" Mom called from downstairs.

"Coming!" I stated as I rushed downstairs to see Jack there.

"Jack-Jack!" I smiled giving him a hug. "Are you coming with us?"

"You really think I'd miss this? It's a big deal! You're gonna be alpha." Jack smiled.

"Let's go! We don't want to be late!" Dad said as we all got in the car and drove down to Billy's. When we arrived everyone was seated to witness the combination of the packs.

Mom lead Sam and I to the table in front of everyone. Mom started to do a spell then flames erupted from the stone bowl. Mom put the knife in the bowl then poured water in a chalice, along with some herbs. Mom then pulled the knife from the flame.

"Samuel Chaske Uley, do you agree to share your status as Alpha with Lillian as you combine your packs?" Mom asked.

"I do." Sam nodded.

"Your hand please." Mom guestured.

Sam gave Mom his hand and winced as she cut it open, letting his blood drip in the chalice.

"Lillian Alexandra Vulk, do you agree to share your status as Alpha with Sam as you combine your packs?" Mom asked.

"Yes." I nodded giving her my hand as she cut it open, letting my blood drip into the chalice as well.

Mom pored the contents into two cups, holding it out to us. I always hated this part of rituals.

"Drink." Mom nodded.

Sam looked hesitant but we downed it like shots. Trying to forget the metallic taste in our mouths. When I looked at Sam his eyes turned yellow like mine when I'm angry, and do did the packs. Even Jack's. We're officially one whole pack.

"Thank you for doing this Sam." I smiled.

"No, Lilly. Thank you. You provided us with a gift to keep our families safe. You really are a great Alpha already." Sam said before pulling me into a hug, which I gladly accepted. "Do you want to come to Em's with us to hang out?"

"I'd love to, but I have to start packing for my camping trip with Bella and Edward tomorrow." I sighed. "But tell Em I said hi."

"I will." Sam chuckled before running into the woods with the rest of our pack. I smiled as the pack left before going back to my car, driving back home for the night.
