Elegy (Elegie) Sope/Yoonseok

VII

Hoseok packs his things and stuffs his letters into a book sized pouch. He then places all of that into luggage under his clothing.

He keeps the latest letter sent to him in within his coat. He sits in the carriage and falls asleep. He had a hand placed on the area he had Yoongi's letter to him.

He had a dream. He was within the woods, walking along the side of the river. He and Yoongi's arm were looped together walking side by side.  They had just had a small picnic and were just wanting to relax. Suddenly the sky became dark. Rain started to pour. The rain was so heavy and then there was lightning. It appeared that there was a flood starting. The small animals were running in a hurry but got caught up. Withing the flood. The water was now at the height of their knees. The water seemed muddy and many things, such as leaves and small animals, were within the currents. The water rises even more. They stay together and start to climb up a tree. Hoseok and Yoongi were holding hands. The water was just went rising and rising it soon reached the height at which they where. The force of the water separates them. After all that, Hoseok is within his own body. He wakes up and squints due to the sun being bright. He looks around. He is in a field. There are many wild flowers growing on the field. He feels something in his hand it is a small stone. It was light blue and it was slightly opaque. He stands up and as well sees some standing up across the field. It was Yoongi. They spotted each other and start to run towards each other. Before they reached eachother the dream ends.

Hoseok wakes up to screaming.

He tries to comprehend what is going on.

"Why are so incompetent"

"Sir, I apologize, I know I am in the wrong"

"If you had done your job properly we wouldn't be here."

"Yes, sir, I understand"

Hoseok looks out the small window that is in the carriage. He sees his father hitting the servant on the head with his bare hands.

-What is going on?

"This moron didn't secure all the luggage and now we have to pick it all up."

-Oh

"What are you standing there for? You are already making us be behind schedule. I am supposed to be home within a week not within a year."

"Yes, sir."

"Yes sir my ass and get to work"

Hoseok goes to help pick up some of the luggage. The servant had one of Hoseok's luggage, he was placing it back which he dropped and the contents was spilled. Hoseok tries to put his belongs together before his father noticing that he had letters between him and Yoongi within the luggage. He noticed. His father sees the pouch which had a letter sticking out of.

-Who is sending you letters?

- Uhh... my friends...

- Friends?

- Yeah.

- Ah, okay.

- Yeah...

Hoseok did seem to be panicked from the perspective of others. In the inside it was like a hurricane, he was so frightened that he could have possibly exposed something right then and there. He thought, what if he folded it in a way were you could read the letter or that he was used to the fact that he was accepted by some of his friends (the ones who knew) and he just so casually said it was his boyfriend.

Hoseok arrives home and helps take his belongings to his room. He places his stuff back into its place and when he finishes he looks out the window. He sees the flowers blooming and looking as beautiful as ever. The afternoon sun making him squint. The slight breeze that was blowing was so ever calming. He looks up at the sky the beat he can, the clouds are so soft looking.
