Chapter 3

The Next day:
JJ's pov:
Today is the day I get to see a real interrogation and see what it's like being in the FBI, I shower and put on a hoodie and leggings with my white high top converse. I walk to my first class from my dorm and turn in my homework, after an hour I head to my second class which is math, on Friday we have a test so Spence is gonna have to help me study. It also gives me another reason to see him often, I feel bad for Will, I feel like i'm leading him on but I don't intend to. I just don't know if I actually love Spence yet, I love Will but the spark just isn't there anymore. When we hug it's not like before, it feels forced like he doesn't want to hug me. I finish with my math class and go back to my dorm to shower and change, I change into a blue spaghetti strap dress with flowers on it that goes up to my knees and my white high top converse. I walk out of my dorm and go to my car, I drive to the cafe where I saw Spence yesterday and pick up 3 coffee's for Spence,Derek,and I. I grab sugar and little containers with milk in it because I don't know how they like their coffee. I get back to my car and drive to the office, I pull up to the visitor parking and call Spence
"Reid"
"Hey Spence, it's me I just got here and i'm in the visitor parking"
"Oh, hey JJ i'll be down in a soon"
"Okay thanks Spence, bye" I hang up and wait for Spence, I grab my school bag and the coffee's and wait in my car for Spence
*Knock* *Knock*
I look up to who's knocking on my window and see Spence, I smile and open the door
"Hey Spence" He hugs me and I hug him back
"Hey JJ, you have to fill out the visitor parking sheet" He hands me the form and I fill it out
"Oh yea, here's coffee for you and Derek. I know how much you think the coffee here tastes like tar." I said chuckling, I give Spence the cup holder with the coffees in it and grab my bag
"Thank you JJ, you're a literal life saver. I don't know how much longer I could stand drinking the coffee. Also I like you dress, it really brings out your eyes" Spence said making me laugh,
"Aww thanks Spence" I hand the form to the front office and they give me a visitor tag and I nod my head in thanks. We walk into the elevator and Spence presses the 8th floor
"So how was class?"
"It was okay, but I do have a math test this Friday"
"I could help you study throughout the week"
"Really? Aren't you going to be at work?"
"Who said we had to study back at my place, you can always visit and come up here and I can help you"
"Then it's settled Spence, you will be seeing me everyday to help me study" I said we smile at eachother and the elevator gets to the 8th floor and I can see glass doors
"Woah" I said looking around Spence laughs at me and push him playfully. We walk through the glass doors and I can see Derek looking down at his file
"Lets go scare him" I whisper to Spence, he nods and we sneak behind Derek
"Boo!" Spence and I yell making Morgan jump out of his chair, we laugh and Spence leads me to his desk
"Jeez, what a way to make an entrance JJ" Derek said smiling
"Here, I brought coffee for you guys" I said handing Derek his coffee
"You're a life saver JJ" Derek said putting sugar and milk into his coffee, I sit on Spence's chair and spin around
"So, did you guys interrogate the unsub yet?"
"No, but we have to in half an hour, come JJ i'm going to introduce you to our boss" Spence said hanging me a hand, I take it and stand up. We walk up the stairs on the cat walk and I stop at an office
"Come in"
"Hey Hotch, this is JJ. The one I told you about going into the academy" Spence said and I smile waving at Spence's boss
"Aaron Hotchner" The man said holding out his hand
"Jennifer Jareau, but please call me JJ" I shake his hand and he nods smiling
"Well I hope to see you in this office one day JJ"
"Thank you" I said with a smile, we leave his office and go back to Spence's desk
"So, you guys just do paper work when you're not cases?" I ask leaning against Spence's desk
"Pretty much" Derek responds, I look down at my shoes and see Spence wearing his black high top converse
"Look Spence, we're wearing the same shoes again but this time my shoes are white" I said looking up smiling at Spence. I can hear Derek laugh at us
"What Derek? Don't wear converse because you can't pull them off like Spence and I can?" I ask teasing Derek, Spence laughs and sits back on his chair. Derek squints his eyes at me
"Very funny JJ, i'm laughing so hard" Derek said sarcastically and I laugh at him. I look back at Spence and see that he finished all his files
"Come on JJ, lets go help you study on the round table so Morgan won't complain" Spence said getting up, I grab my bag and wait for Spence
"Thanks for being so considerate Pretty boy, I appreciate it" Spence and Derek bicker back and forth until I grab Spence's hand
"Come on Spence, bickering can wait for later. Studying needs to be done now" They laugh at me and Spence still holds my hand leading me into a room with a round table, I bring out all my stuff and sit down across from Spence
"Okay, lets get started" Spence said, he grabs my math book and starts testing me. After 20 minutes Derek walks in
" Pretty boy, you're interrogating today" Morgan said, Spence and I rise from out chairs and follow Morgan
"So, you excited?" Spence asked
"Kind of, i've never been so close to a criminal before"
"It's okay, I felt the same way but I was actually interrogating the unsub" I laugh at what Spence said, we walk into a room and I see agent Hotchner and an older agent
"Hey guys, Gideon this is JJ" Spence introduces me to the older agent
"I'm Jason Gideon" He gold out his hand for me to shake it
"Jennifer Jareau but you can call me JJ" I said shaking his hand, he nods his head
"This is her first interrogation, how bad is he?" Spence asks agent Hotchner
"Pretty bad, he starts getting in your face and yells" I look at Spence with wide eyes
"All of you tried and he just yelled in your face?" I ask facing them, they all nod except for Spence
"It's my turn to go in, i'll be back" Spence walks into the room and we all look through the window
"I'm supervisory special agent Dr.Spencer Reid" The guy just looks at Spence
"Why did you do it?" Spence asks
"I didn't do it!" The guy yelled in Spences face, Spence didn't even flinch
"What did she do to you?"
"I don't even know her!" The man yells again
"She was only 18" Spence said firmly
"I didn't do anything to her, I don't even know her" The man yelled and was now in Spence's personal space, Spence just looks at him not even flinching
"You shot her and then stabbed her" I gasp and feel the tension
"I didn't shoot her? I only stabbed her" The guy said leaning back onto his chair, Spence smiles and gets up. The guy looks up at Spence with shock in his eyes, Spence just made him confess. I look over to the others
"I see what you mean Derek" I said turning to them, they all chuckle and Spence walks out of the room
"The genius does it again" Derek said sarcastically, I laugh and turn to Spence
"When he yelled in your face you didn't even flinch" I said in disbelief
"Don't show any emotion unless you need to" Spence said shrugging
"Come on JJ, we have math to get back to" I groan and everyone laughs at me, we go back to the round table and study for 2 hours straight
"Come on Spence, we've been studying for 2 hours straight. Is there anything fun we can do?" I ask
"Not really" Spence said I groan and start spinning around in the chair
"So, how are you and Will?" Spence asked
"I don't know" I stoped spinning and face Spence
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"When we hug or kiss the spark just isn't there anymore, it's like we're forced into being a relationship. But I don't know if i'm over exaggerating"
"I don't think you're over exaggerating, if you don't feel the spark anymore then break up with him. It would be worse if you stay in the relationship forcing yourself to love him" Spence said
"You know, i'm going to start coming to you when I have problems" Spence laughs at me and throws a paper ball at me, I throw it back and now we're playing ping pong with a paper ball and our hands. I hit back darting it straight at Spences head
"Bullseye!" I shout cheering, Spence laughs at me and sits back down
"Hey, why don't we go and spy on Will, I really want to know what he's been doing" I said spinning around in the chair again
"Sure, I don't see why not. Let's go now so we have time to stop by at your place to drop off your car and we can follow him in my car" I nod and pack all of my books in my bag, we walk out of the room and go say bye to Derek
"Bye Derek, i'll be here tomorrow with more coffee" He looks up at me and smiles
"Bye JJ, thanks for being our coffee plug" I smile and we walk to the parking
"You pull out first, i'll follow you to your school" Spence said, I nod and get in my car starting the engine. I pull out and see Spence following me to my campus, everyone looks at Spence's car because it's a government SUV. I park my car and get out, Spence is waiting in front of my car and I get in. Everyone is looking at me now and I see my roommate come up to me
"JJ! What are you doing in a government SUV?" My roommate Kenzie, asks
"It's okay Kenz, i'm not going to jail. This is Spencer" Spence waves to Kenz
"Hi, i'm JJ's roommate Kenzie. Aren't you a little too young to be working for the government?"
"No, I work at the FBI with the BAU. JJ can tell you all about me when she comes back, now if you don't want to be deaf I suggest you back a way from the car. Also it was nice meeting you" Spence said and rolled up the window, Spence turns on the lightbar and everyone starts looking at us
"Spence! Everyone is looking at us" I say laughing
"It's fine, they won't mess with the FBI especially because I have my gun" Spence said turning off the light bar and starts driving, I laugh at him and we talk all the way back to his house. Wills car is still in the driveway so we stake out waiting for Will to leave the house. 20 minutes later of laughing and talking we finally see Will walking out of the house and into his car, he pulls out of the driveway and Spence and I start following him a good distance away so he won't see us. 10 minutes later we pull up to a ransoms neighborhood and Will parks his car in someone's drive way. He gets out and knocks on the door, Spence and I's eyes go wide when we see who opens the door
