As the activities were explained, panic began to course through Hunter's brain. He didn't know what he was going to do, not at all.
His parents forced him to kill his first baby. So how in the hell was he going to tell Keitaro that? He couldn't just walk over and say to him ‘Oh hey! Sorry, babe but I might have killed our baby, my bad!’
That'd just he flat out rude, wouldn't it? That's why Hunter was in a rush on pure panic. He didn't know how he'd get his words out and he didn't want to tell Keitaro in case he misinterpreted what he said or even took it the wrong way.
“Y-You what?”
“K-Keitaro...I-I'm sorry! It was my parents!”
“You killed...our baby?”
Keitaro turned around, hugging his arms, tears welling in his bright green eyes. “We're over.”
“N-No! K-Keitaro, wait..!”
“Over!” As he said this, he walked away leaving Hunter to stand there, tears streaming down his porcelain skin.
“Hunter!”
“Hunter!!”
“HUNTER!”
Hunter stopped, jumping and turning to the source of the voice. Keitaro Nagame.
“Y-Yeah..?” Hunter responded, wiping his turquoise eyes with a light sniff. He was then pulled into a warm hug by his boyfriend who spoke to him with a worried tone.
“Why are you crying? What were you thinking about...?” He asked, pulling Hunter's chin up so he could look at him.
“I-I...I can't t-tell you..!” The bunny lover said, more tears welling followed by more falling. He sniffed again, feeling like his whole world was going to come crashing down on him.
“You can! What's wrong? I won't be mad, I promise!”
“I-I...I killed o-our baby...” Hunter stuttered out, his voice cracking in certain parts, his tears preventing his voice from coming out normally.
“Why..? Was it your parents?” Keitaro asked, managing to keep his cool when speaking to Hunter. He didn't get mad, nor did he become upset. He just...understood.
Unable to speak, Hunter nodded and hugged Keitaro tighter. He cried and cried and cried into the frog boys chest, seeking comfort from the one he loved.
Keitaro kissed the top of his head, gently rubbing his back soothingly, “Shh, it's okay! I'm not mad at you, Hunter...I'm mad at your parents.”
Hunter looked up at him, cheeks stained with his salty tears. The sight pained Keitaro from deep within and he immediately wiped away the tears present in his eyes. In return, he recieved a beautiful smile from Hunter. A smile Keitaro loved and a smile he'd always cherish. A smile he cared about more than anything and anyone in the whole world.
“I love you, Hunter.” Keitaro said, kissing him on the lips, just like when they had first confessed to each other that time ago. It made the two of them happy and pleased to be together for ever.
“I love you, too, Keitaro!” Hunter said with no more tears as he happily kissed him back. His arms found their way to Keitaro's neck and Keitaro's to Hunter's waist. Eventually, the two parties from breath and separated from their kiss. After getting themselves properly ready they headed back to the cabin hand in hand to work on what they were meant to.
After arriving inside, Hunter pulled out his sketchbook and sat down on his bed, patting the side for Keitaro to sit next to him. “Come sit down with me.”
Keitaro smiled and nodded, happily getting onto the bed to watch Hunter draw but was then taken aback when Hunter handed Keitaro his pencil and sketchbook. “You draw something!” The bunny lover said with his signature adorable smile.
“Hunter...I don't think that's a good idea...I don't want to ruin your sketchbook!” Keitaro said, his voice coated in worry for what he was about to do.
“Nothing you draw in it could ever ruin my sketchbook, Keitaro!” Hunter replied, his voice full of optimism. Keitaro sighed and put the pencil to the paper where he began to sketch out a drawing.
The drawing was a simple one. At the camp fire sat him and Hunter on some logs, looking at each other with smiles. The night sky was full of beautiful bright stars and carefully drawn detailed uniforms the campers wore. Every part of the drawing Keitaro made was exceptionally detailed to please Hunter. He hoped he liked it...
After he was done he put the pencil down and leaned back to Hunter could look at it. Hunter stared in awe and smiled. “Its beautiful!” He said, his voice dripping with envy. “You draw si beautifully!”
“Not as beautifully as you, Hunter.” Keitaro said, handing him the pencil. “Now you draw something.”
It took Hunter a lot longer than Keitaro since his scale was a lot bigger. He drew all of the campers and scoutmasters around the camp fire. Yoshinori was playing the ukelele. Everyone had their mouths open a few with their eyes closed a few without all singing along to the strums of the instrument. And the result was definitely worth it. It looked amazing! Down from the detail of the backgrounds, to the detail of the shading in the clothing and creases. All of it was stunning.
After finishing, Hunter smiled and showed it to Keitaro who was now staring in awe. “You are amazing at drawing!” He beamed, turning to his blushing boyfriend with a smile.
The rest of the day, they goofed around and drew more pictures...it was a eventful but also amazing day.
