Imagine: You work at a flower shop and Steve has a different way of expressing his love.

You had worked at the same flower shop for as long as you could remember. Your aunt owned it and let you work there since you loved plants just as much as her. You were constantly asked why you didn't get a better job but this is the best job for you.

For working in a flower shop it pays suprisingly well. Partially because your the only flower shop between Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens and you got a lot of service anywhere from people proposing, getting gifts, to people just getting flowers for their living rooms.

People loved you guys' flowers because they were affordable and they always looked nice and full of life. They were fresh grown in the greenhouse behind your shop, some of the only green you see in New York.

Being the only flower shop between 3 burroughs meant you got to see a lot of celebrities. You had seen Anne Hathaway, Tom Cruise, Spider-Man in costume, James Dean, and even Tony Stark. You just had the best flowers.

One winter day a guy came in. He was tall, looked to be in his 30's. He was wearing a hat and hoodie which wasn't unusual for tis cool winter day. He wandered around for a bit pretending to look at flowers and you were oblivious to the glances he was sending your way.

He was looking for a while which you didn't mind since this was one of your calmest days, you decided to go help him. "Can I help you sir?" You asked coming up to him. Steve suddenly forgot how to talk. He had a million butterflies in his stomach and he suddenly forgot how to breathe.

He got lost staring in your emerald eyes. Your lips looked so soft, he thought. He wanted to reach out and play in your curly hair while caressing your soft fair skin. "Sir?" You asked breaking him out of his thoughts. "What can I help you with? Any special occasion? A gift for a special someone?" You smiled.

He thought you had the prettiest smile. "No, just looking." He managed to answer. "Well if there's anything you need let me know." You said turning to walk away. "Wait-" He said grabbing your arm. You turned to him. "Yes?" You asked.

He didn't think this far ahead. "Do you...what do you....ummm what do you recommend." He said coming up with something as quickly as he could. "I love the roses. I love what they all mean and signify and the different blends." You said enthusiastically.

"What do they all mean?" Steve asked not knowing there were more than 2 roses. "Well red is the lover's rose, signifies enduring passion. White, humility and innocence. Yellow, expresses friendship and joy. Pink, gratitude, appreciation and admiration. Orange, enthusiasm and desire. White lilac and purple roses represent enchantment and love at first sight." You explained pointing at each rose.

Steve noticed there were two extra roses. One was Pink on the outside that faded into its peach middle, another was a light blue that had these light crystals drizzled over them. "What are these?" He asked pointing them out to you.

"These are the summer and winter roses. My personal favorites. They are contrated in seasons but not too far off in meaning. The summer rose symbolizes freedom, romance, respect, and growth. Winter is said to represent darkness, but that's not what I like to tell." You smiled.

"What what do you like to tell?" Steve asked loving the way your eyes lit up. "Winter depicts harshness, calmness, silence, light and love." You smiled. "Just like the season." You both saidat the same time. You both giggled for a bit before you saw another customer come in. "Well if you need anything else just let me know." You smiled and went back to work.

Steve stood deep in thought for a moment. You were the cutest and purest thing he'd seen in a while. With all the violence he saw he knew he needed that in his life but he also knew he was too shy to ask for your number. He looked around trying to find anything that could aid him and he saw the paper that you would write notes on. He smirked as he got an idea and got to writing.

A few minutes later he went up to the register with a summer rose. You smiled at him as he paid for the rose but instead of taking it with him he gave it to you and left out. "Sir, Wiat." You called out to him. He didn't seem to hear you so you hurried away from the counter.

But he was already long gone by the time you had gotten out the door. You sighed and went back inside to look at the rose. He had left a note on it so you figure you'd read it so that you could get it to whoever it was meant for.

You opened up the little card to see a note scribbled out in blue and red ink. 'Hey Doll. I know you probably left this on accident but i left in on purpose so that you would see this. I've been told I'm a ittle shy but I would love to get to know more about you're warm personality during these cold times.' You smiled a bit.

'I'm sorry was that corny? I guess I'm a little old fashioned. Well give me a call at ***-***-****.' You smiled and saved his number. Nobody has ever been so sweet to you before so you were a little baffled. "Might as well text him." You thought. 5 minutes later, you offically had a date with the flower shop stranger.
