NOTE: This story is slightly different from the others in this series, it's an AU where ATEEZ aren't idols. They're still cursed with their dark egos, but it simply wouldn't have made sense for them to be an idol group with the plot setup I created.

TW – Schizophrenia, PTSD

It was a good day. You knew that the moment you opened your eyes to see your brother shaking you awake. He was giving you his best adorable smile, which you returned instantly.

"Good morning, sister," he sang, stroking your hair.

"Good morning, Yunho," you answered. He almost always woke you up like that, and it was the best part of your day.

"Good day?" he asked, pulling your covers back and offering you his hand. You let him help you out of bed, nodding at him. "Good. Let's hope it stays that way." He hugs you to him, and you smile.

"Work?" you asked, and he gently pokes your nose.

"Unfortunately, bug. But I'll be home quickly, and you have your school you can work on, I know you're good at memorizing facts." He was so kind about the fact that you weren't very vocal in the mornings, and it made you feel loved.

Yunho slipped out of your shared room and down the small staircase to make breakfast. Taking advantage of the moment alone, you quickly changed into your favorite outfit - a pair of loose jeans and a striped longsleeve shirt. Yunho chuckled when you came downstairs.

"You really like stripes, don't you, bug?"

You nodded and sat at the table, trying to ground yourself. He hummed as he brought you the premade waffles he had thrown in the toaster. They always seemed to go straight from frozen to burnt, but you didn't mind either state once you'd dumped syrup on them.

"Alright, bug," Yunho said as he grabbed his keys. "I'll be back soon, okay? Stay safe."

You nodded again, and he pressed a kiss to your forehead before slipping outside to start his car. You lived outside of the city, near a forest, which was good for you. Yunho didn't like the idea of people being able to bother you when you were left alone during his work hours.

A cat meowed to your left, and you turned your head. Yunho, who had just come back in to grab his coat and lunch, sighed as he looked at you.

"Call me if you need anything, bug." There was disappointment in his voice. He always said he wasn't mad at you, but you didn't know how that could be true.

You were in your late teens, but you still threw tantrums, still... and... and bit him. The cat was getting more insistent, meowing and purring.

"Go away," you muttered, swatting at the area the noises were coming from. Your hands brushed through air, and you sighed. You hated invisible things. There were so many. You were the ruler of the invisible world, so they all had to come to you. Sometimes you wondered how Yunho could see you, but mostly you didn't question it.
