There she stood with the corners of her mouth reaching upto her ears.

Such a wide grin was plastered on her face. But it didn't seem to be genuine.

Or maybe I didn't find it so because I disliked her.

The longer portion of her navy blue dress swept the floor, while her matching heels made the required noise that she'd have wanted to gain attention. With an aura of overconfidence and pride around her , she walked towards me, giving a wicked smile.

Her brown wavy locks reached upto her lower back, her lips were colored with a bold red, her fair cheeks had a slight pinkish blush on and her eyes, her blue eyes were filled with envy.

Well, who else could have such an extraordinary amount of hatred towards me other than Fariha.

The reason for her hatred was not defined though. Apparently the so called love interest of the ever so gorgeous Fariha was snatched by a much ordinary looking girl.

Little did she know that the one who presumably snatched her love has not received an inch of it.

"Heyy, Tawakkul. Hope you're doing very well!", she taunted.

"Yes, definitely. Very very well." I faked a tone.

Accompanying Fariha was her mom. She seemed to be no less.

Mrs Nargis asked everyone to sit down.

I wonder if it was a coincidence that there wasn't a place left for Fariha.

And guess what, Mrs Nargis asked her to sit beside me, which she gladly accepted.

Another wonderful coincidence was, we both were twinning.

How I wish I could stop my mind from building up bad scenarios but I couldn't. I had a feeling in my heart that these ladies were going to hurt me somehow.

Mrs Nargis then clapped her hands to draw attention.

"Let's start with the event. All of you shall remove the veil and see the bride's face one by one. Let's start with the eldest of our house."

And then grandma came to me. She raised my veil and kissed my forehead.

She then put back my veil and placed a beautiful necklace on my lap as a gift.

She was such a genuine lady.

I held her hands quickly before she'd leave. She understood what I was trying to do and sat beside me.

Fariha seemed to be shifting beside me on the other hand. She got quite uncomfortable with what she probably saw.

One by one all of the ladies came and lifted my veil. Some of them complimented me while some of them just smiled and left.

Then came Fariha's mother. A witchy smile was plastered on her face. As soon as she raised my veil, she frowned.

"Nargis, I must tell you. Azlan is a prince! Who have you got for her?"

Finally she spitted what she'd come for.

As if none of these ladies saw me in the wedding, that it became necessary for Mrs Nargis to hold such a pathetic event.

"What are you trying to say Mrs Farida?" asked an annoyed grandma.

"What I'm trying to say is, I thought Azlan rejected my daughter for some out of the world lady. Just see my daughter sitting beside her. Even though both are color coordinating, it's very much apparent who looks more appealing! And you refused my daughter for this? With a person who she has no comparison with! "
