'Confidence is a must and cockiness is a plus'.

I repeated that mantra in my head since Sunday, surprised my brother knew Britney.

He said that was the first lesson in 'cool school'. What bull.

Hey that rhymes.

It's Monday morning and I'm eating breakfast in the Wallace house. Me and Tyler slept over.

We got our outfits from the mall, which may I add took hours and brought them over to Trevor's house.

Mrs. Wallace gave us all a once over once we got downstairs in black clothing and a lot of leather but shrugged it off muttering something about us going through a phase.

We take black to a whole new level. I'm pretty sure I'm on the Goth side of things.

Hello, black lipstick!

Jay couldn't bring the bikes over until this morning so we had to wait for him.

"Marie, let me help you with the dishes." I offer Mrs Wallace as I clear the dishes. Yep, we were all on first name basis with our parents.

"Don't be silly Sydney." She waved me off, taking the dishes. "You're going to be late for school." Just then the door bell rang.

"Well that must be our ride." Trevor stood up from his chair. "Goodbye mom." He went for a kiss on both cheeks. Tyler and I kiss her too.

We open the door to see nobody. We walk out only to hear the low key roars of a motor.

Right on the driveway were three lethal looking bikes. Jay wasn't here, nobody was.

"Syd, I'm starting to rethink living a little." Tyler says looking at the motorbikes warily.

I would have said that too if I wasn't so determined to do this. The bikes looked like they had killed many people on their own. How would we be able to ride this thing?

"Man up and stop being a wimp. We're going to check everything off that list if it's the last thing we do." Trevor tells him.

"You know Tyler's the sensible one. Let's go now before he manages to talk us out of it." I say grabbing hold of Trevor's hand, heading straight for the bikes.

The keys were already in the ignition. There was a note on the first one.

Syd, I'm trusting you with my friend's friend friend's sister's cousin's bikes. Not a scratch on them.
-Jay

I roll my eyes, crumple the note and got on the first bike and put on the helmet. I feel powerful, I feel confident, I feel free, I feel...badass.

I now see why Seth's saving up for one of this bad boys.

"Has any of you ever rode a bike?" Tyler asks, mounting his bike. I shake my head no.

"I have." Trevor answers. "Once." He added after a while.

Of course he has.

Tyler and I somehow managed to rev the engine and pull out of the Wallace's drive way with Trevor.

Let me not lie to you. I was scared. I didn't even know if you needed a licence for this thing. I was so frightened of hitting a car or a car hitting me.
