Corey strode down the stairs in long strides with Dam still following closely behind him. Upon reaching the end of the staircase, he stopped walking as an offensive scent waft into his nostrils.

His sharp sense of smell led him to James' who was sitting on their white couch -- that stood facing the wall that was just rebuilt -- with his head resting on his arms. Jersey was sitting on the island stool with his back facing the back of the couch that James was sitting on -- holding his nose together with two of his fingers, as he stared holes at both Dam and Corey as the smell evades the whole room.

"James," Corey called him with a smile worn on his face, as he made his way to him. James stared back at him surprised, not only by the sound of his name being pronounced by the agelast but also the fact that he was smiling fondly at him.

"Hi, Corey," James answered, sounding a bit timid as Corey's presence exudes the room like the grommet he thought him to be. He felt tired and sincerely just needed a good sleeping pill that would smash him, and make him sleep his heart out.

"Are you ready for the process?" he stared into Corey's eyes as he stood right opposite him, asking him the one question that made him swallow greedily at the fact that there was a chance that he could feel normal.

"Yes, I'm." He answered, rising on his feet to meet Corey's height, he could feel the alpha aura exuding from him in tidal waves that slammed against his face, much so that it felt as if he was the only alpha in the room. James' looked behind him to find Dam standing with Jersey -- who had been ignoring him since he got there with his nose raised up high and fingers clenched strongly around it, though they were never close before he left about six months ago, they still greeted each other as he was Victoria's assigned bodyguard or for better emphasis watchdog -- they were both watching him, as though he was their prisoner and was planning an escape.

Corey stepped closer to him, stopping when the odor slammed into the back of his head, causing tears to pull at his sight, "who exactly was your mate?" He asked with a grimace, capturing James' attention.

"A werelionness," he answered flatly, but immediately looked downwards when a surge of power behind and in front of him synchronized and fell on him. A loud groan escaped his lips as he fell on his knees, seething.

"Shift," he heard Corey command, but his whole body had suddenly become rigid to the spot. "Shift," Corey held him by his right arm, bringing his palm close to his acnestis, adding a little pressure to his shaking limb as a small crack resonated through the room. He repeated, "shift."

The instant the word left Corey's lips, he and Dam shifted into their beasts along with James. Both staring down at the much smaller lion in front of them, Corey looked towards Dam and they both brought their heads down colliding it with that of James's simmering physique.

Both alphas robbed their heads against him, calming him down with their zest and will to bring him back to normal. "You've been hurt," he rubbed his thick black mane against that of James's. "Whoever she is must have held some sort of power." He and Dam suddenly pulled away leaving James whimpering as his limbs fail to stay steady on the ground. "But, I'm more powerful."

Corey gritted his teeth with all the strength he could muster, drawing down from his height to that of James's as he rests his crown on James's holding him steady by the back of his head with his paw as he matched James's soul with that of the whole pride.
