Title: Grandmother Knows Best

It's been a while since the whole 'Wakko incident' in which in the headlines described him as The Candyman. The families were reunited thankfully... some of them, not really.

Alice had been taken it the worse, she had been having nightmares of the children and Parasyte himself, not only that, the old trauma of Zombozo had resurfaced. She couldn't go one second without thinking about it.

"Hey." She was snapped out of her trance by Alex, who looked very causal after what happened. "You wanna get some fresh air?"

Alice nodded and got off, Max was busy walking around getting his strange ingredients again. She let out a sigh and sat on a bench a bit away from the RV.

"You alright kiddo?", Alice looked up to see a woman in her mid sixties with neck-length silver hair, dark blue eyes, and faint wrinkles, with a blue cloak being her only form of clothing. The woman sat down next to her and patted her back. "You look a little glum."

"I-I-I'm." Alice took a deep breath before smiling politely. "I'm fine."

She turned back to the woman who looked a little sad at her words. "You shouldn't lie about how you feel, it's not going to help you with what's going on..."

"How do you know?" Alice asked as she was somewhat surprised at how she actually figured it out so quickly.

The old woman smiled softly and placed a hand on her head. "I've been around for a long while, so I know how to determine who's going through some tough stuff." She said as she inhaled deeply before exhaling. "Here's a bit of advice from an old girl like myself; just open up, be truthful about how you really feel and tell others. They'll help you and be there for you always...." Alice looked away as she felt the old woman's wrinkly hand move away.

"Okay... okay, I'll be honest about it." Alice said with a little smile as she turned to the woman. "Thank you."

"You're very much welcome." The old woman happily said. "Don't let that Wakko and clown get the best of you.", these words wouldn't be too surprising... but she just met this person. Alice shook her head and before she could open her mouth, the old woman had vanished in the blink of an eye.

Hearing a little chuckle as Alice looked around.

It took a bit for Alice to get back after having to deal with the fact that someone knew who got her so shook. Alice bursted open the RV door as Max was eating a dung beetle stew with Alex eating a bag of chips. "Okay... so we may have a little issue."

"And that is?" Max asked as the two preteens shivered at the crunches of the dung beetles.

"Yeah, some woman came up to me while I was sitting on a bench and comforted me- HEY IM NOT FINISHED YET!" As soon as she started she barked out at the two, who assumed their business before she yelled. "The thing is... she knew what happened between me, Wakko and Zombozo."

The two looked more concerned now, this seemingly random woman had been watching them. And if they'd guess correctly... she must've been watching for a lot longer. "What did she look like?" Max said as his eyes shimmered a bit.

"She looked like she was in her mid fifties, about as tall as Alex and she wore a blue robe. I guess?" Alice said as Max nodded.

"Welp, guess we'll have to track her down.", Alex said as he rolled up the top of the bag and grinned a bit.

It took much longer than they originally thought, basically the whole rest of the day and all the way to sundown, and they couldn't find this mysterious woman.
