Tokka one shots

Afraid of thunder

(modern time and bending exists) (School ends at 3 for them and it's raining so it's gloomy outside)

It's the weekend. Toph's parents were out of town on a business trip. When her parents weren't home, Sokka would come over after school to hangout and play video games.

Toph unlocks the front door and they walk in. They let their backpacks fall to the floor and they plop down on the couch. Toph takes out her phone and passes it to Sokka. Toph trusted Sokka knowing her password to her phone.

"Let's get something from postmates" Toph says

"Okay what do you want to get?"He unlockes her phone and goes on postmates. They both thought about what to eat and at the same time they said "Noodles" They laughed. Sokka made the order "Ok time to pay" Sokka moved over to Toph and she stuck out her finger for her apple pay. He grabbed her finger and placed it over the home button. They heard the bing sound and Toph took her hand back. "I feel bad having you pay all time" Sokka said giving her phone back. "It's fine meathead, seriously!"

"I'll pay you back one of these days"

Toph rolled her eyes. Sokka put on a the office in her living room and they watched it until the food arrived. Well Sokka watched the office. Toph just listened to the TV

Half an hour goes by and there is a knock at the door. Sokka goes over to the door and grabs the bag with their order inside. He goes over to the kitchen and starts to takes out everything from the bag.

"Ugh they forgot the chopsticks again!"

"Seriously!?" Toph gets up "i'm pretty sure I've left enough complaints for them to realize their terrible at their job!" Toph goes over to her utensils drawer and takes out chopsticks. As she was about to hand a set to Sokka, there was a thunder clap and she startled dropping the set of chopsticks on the floor.

Sokka's eyes furrowed "Did you just jump at the sound of thunder?" He asks curiously

"Pf no" Another thunderclap and she's startled again. "Your scared of thunder!" Sokka said out loud. "Your insane! I'm Toph Beifong, the greatest earthbender in the world! I'm not scared of thu-" Another thunderclap but this time she yelps little. Sokka burst out laughing, Toph got upset and went over and hit him in the shoulder. Sokka was laughing so hard he didn't wince in pain. He laughed for a minuted and then once he calmed down a little he talked. "Oh my gosh, i'm never going to forget this moment"

"You saw nothing!" Toph said. she grabbed her food from the bag and walked to the living room

Toph has had a crush on Sokka since their friendship started. And although they are close she still found it embarrassing that her crush knew about her about her fear. Which is why she continued to deny it.

"Yeah sure" Sokka said, They sat down on the floor and ate their noodles on the coffee table in front of the TV. Toph tried her best not to get scared every time there was thunder, but that didn't work at all. Everytime she flinched and Sokka would notice.

"She looks so cute" He thought to himself. He's had some feelings for Toph in the past but he just ignored them. But while he was in a relationship with now ex-girlfriend Suki, the feelings for Toph got stronger. He took it as a sign that Suki wasn't the girl for him so he broke up with her. She was of course devastated and upset but he knew that she would find someone else. Toph knew he had a crush on someone but of course doesn't know it's her. But today he told himself that he would tell her about his feelings.

"When are you going to admit your afraid of thunder?" Sokka asked, "You get startled every time"

"I'm not afraid of anything snoozles i already told you" Toph said, She got up to refill her glass with water when there was another clap of thunder. Toph jumped and dropped her glass on the floor. "Ok i admit it! I'm afraid of thunder" Toph yelled, Sokka chuckled and got up. "Finally! Let me pick up the glass. Go sit down" Sokka walked over to the broken glass on the floor and Toph punched him in the shoulder.

"Don't tell anyone!"

"I won't your secret is safe with me" Toph payed attention to his heartbeat and he was telling the truth. She smiled and sat down on the couch. Sokka got a dustpan and carefully put the glass in. After picking up the glass he got up and threw it away in the trash. He walked back to where the glass was to make sure there weren't anymore. then he walked over to Toph and sat next to her, closer than earlier to be exact. Toph noticed and blushed a little.

"Thanks meathead" She said with a warm smile

"Anytime" "Ok it's now or ever Sokka. Just confess your feelings. the worst that can happen is a boulder to my face" Sokka was about speak but was interrupted by loud thunder. Toph jumped and leaned against Sokka. Sokka chuckled and hugged Toph with one arm, "Your safe with me" Sokka said "I did not just say that!" He mentally slapped himself.

Toph blushed a little and turned her head to hide it. "Thanks snoozles" "What is happening to me, why am i becoming soft all of a sudden?!" Toph thought to herself. Sokka let go of his hug and Toph got off him.

"Ok let's try this again, hopefully there isn't any thunder this time" Sokka looked out the window glaring at the sky. He looked up and cleared his throat. Toph looked at his direction and raised an eyebrow. Sokka noticed and got more nervous. His heart was beating fast and he knew Toph would notice.

"Toph i have something to say" He said with an attempted confident tone.

"Ok.... Your hearts beating fast so it must be a important" Sokka swallowed the big lump in his throat. He took a deep breath and looked a Toph, "Th-...the- what i want- ....i-" Toph tilted her head as she tried to understand what he was trying to say.

"What is it snoozles? spit it out" without thinking "I HAVE A MASSIVE CRUSH ON YOU!" he blurted out covering his mouth. Toph's eyes widened and and she leaned back in shock. "Did he just say he has a massive crush on me?" Toph thought to herself  "SHIT!" Sokka said out loud. He quickly got up to run out the door. He was stopped by Toph gripping his wrist, "Your not getting away that fast!" She said as she got up quickly and pulled him to turn around. A big lump formed in Sokka's throat as he feared for what comes next. Toph let out a loud sigh and looked up at Sokka.

She walked up to him and got on her toes to give him a soft gentle kiss. Sokka's eyes widened in shock but he closed his eyes and put his hand on her cheek relaxing his muscles. Toph backed away from this kiss with a smile, "I have a massive crush on you as well meatheat" Her saying those words brought relief for Sokka. Sokka smiled and cupped her face, kissing her softly. Toph wrapped her arms around his neck pushing into the kiss. The kiss was like fireworks for them. The butterflies in their stomachs were going crazy. Sokka pulled her closer to him and she giggled in response. Their lips separate and their foreheads met.

"Toph" Sokka said softly, Toph hummed in response. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked nervously but softly. Toph moved her head and kissed him again. She pulled back, "Of course i will meathead" Sokka smiled and looked into her eyes.

"She said yes!" he thought to himself as a big smile formed on his face "Ha your mine now!" He said in a goofy voice with an evil laugh. He held on to Toph as he pulled them down to couch. Toph squealed as she was pulled down to the couch landing on her now boyfriend. Toph giggled and laid her head on Sokka's chest. "I'm yours forever  meathead" Toph said closing her eyes. Sokka's heart was now warm. He was happy, The girl he liked liked him back. He smiled and kissed her head. The thunder had stopped and he closed his eyes. They fell asleep in each others arms to the sound of rain and each others breathing.
