Today's my birthday! I was super excited when my parents bought me an Eurasian eagle-owl in a cage with food(which costed about 18 Galleons in total). I named it Sakurako and left the bird in the cage with food and water while I was attending classes. After, I went to Quidditch practice where the twins gave me some prank items(such as Dungbombs, acid pops, Dr Filibuster's Fabulous Wet-Start, No-Heat Fireworks, etc) while others like Harry, for example, gave me two Montrose Magpies jerseys(one had a number 7 on the back and the other had a 3. Those are both some of my lucky numbers). Ron bought me a Quidditch pin, which was what I wanted. Luna teached me about some other magical creatures that I've never heard of(It was amusing) while Hagrid gave me some of his cookies and fudge, but to be honest, I ate it because I-uh, would feel bad if I didn't. Hagrid made it for ME, so I might as well eat it happily(although it was almost indigestible).

All of the lessons that I got through today didn't even affect my mood. Not even when I have to write a 15 feet essay for homework(I begged Hermione for help, because I obviously wasn't going to finish it anytime soon by myself.). Before I knew it, it was time for dinner at the Great Hall. At dinner, I wolfed down my cheesy mash potatoes and gravy with some grilled chicken before running back to my dorm room, just to find a birthday cake there, right in front of my bed, which I immediately took it and placed it at one of the tables downstairs. So while the others were eating, I was going to eat all of that cake secretly, all by myself....

Well....that's what I thought, until Hermione and Edith came to ruin my time with my birthday cake. Hermione and Edith probably thought that I was acting strange during the day and at dinner, so they followed me. The moment the door opened, they both saw me eating the delicious cake. We all blinked for a few seconds at each other before we all laughed. They both came over, so I gave the both of them each a paper plate for them to eat the cake in.

"Ha...Rowan, what are you doing?" Hermione asked, wiping a tear on the corner of her eye.
"Oh come on, we already knew what Rowan is doing." says Edith, who was still laughing.
"Hey, do you guys want some too?" I asked awkwardly.
"Don't mind if I do." says Edith, cutting a slice of the cake.
"Ok, if you're alright." says Hermione timidly.

We all enjoyed the cake while talking about our lives outside of Hogwarts, which was interesting. Edith complained about how her family wanted her to get married to a Pure-Blood even though she doesn't want to get married as, ever, as usual although I agreed. If it was me, I wouldn't want to marry to someone because of their blood type. To be honest, I would've have a bad relationship with my family because of that if I was in Edith's position, so I kind of have respect for Edith now(Just a bit). Hermione happily talked about her parents while I kept eating my cake. Just as I was about to go to sleep after cleaning up(with the help from Hermione and Edith), Hagrid came in.

"Hagrid! Why are you here?" I asked, confused.
"I have a surpris' for yeh, Rowan." says Hagrid, who then took a red box with a blue ribbon out.
"Ooh! What's inside it?" Edith asked, excited.
"Open it, Rowan." Hermione urged.

I may have looked a bit confused, because Hagrid and Hermione laughed.

"Are you going to open it or not? Otherwise I'll do the honors." says Edith as she inches closer to the box.

"I'll open it." As I opened the box(because there's just no way that I'll let somebody open MY birthday gift), Edith looked crestfallen, but I ignored her. Inside the box though, was a cat. And not just any cat, a scottish fold breed, which has the color of lighter custard cream. It's eyes are chocolate colored and I immediately petted it before asking Hagrid what it's gender is.

"'s a she." Hagrid said happily.
"Oh, then her name will be Kasumi. And I have a feeling that she'll get along very well with Sakurako."
"Can I pet her?" Edith asked.

As I left to go get Sakurako, Edith and Hermione both petted her. I released her from the cage before going down with Lasair following close behind me.

"Hey, this is Kasumi! She's going to become a new member of our family!" I told both Lasair and Sakurako.

Sakurako flew off my shoulder before flying over to Kasumi and to everyone's amazement, Sakurako hugged Kasumi with her wings, which Hagrid then laughs.

"I think they'll became great friends." I smiled while looking at them.

I rubbed Lasair's head before urging him to go to Kasumi. Lasair then ran over and licked Kasumi, which I think that she disliked because most cats hate taking a bath, although Kasumi is ok with Lasair. I think that Kasumi and Sakurako are opposites though because Sakurako is hard-working, smart, and can do almost anything while Kasumi is the type who's lazy.

I fed all them food while Hagrid left. Even though Kasumi is skinny for her age, she ate ALOT of food to my surprise. When everyone else came in, I introduced them my new pet and everyone, especially Parvati, she adored her. This is my first birthday at Hogwarts and I think that I'll always cherish the memories that Hogwarts will bring me though, until the day I die. To be honest, I'm excited for the adventures that'll come in the future, but for now, I want to enjoy my birthday at Hogwarts with my friends, whom I consider my family(almost everyone).
