"Where am I?" I thought to myself as a scene is coming over me. Suddenly, someone or something whispered "Camp, Half-Blood, Poseidon, Zeus.". What did those words mean? "Who are you!?" I yelled, turning in circles but saw no one. "Percy Jackson, half uncle, New York, Long Island." "COME OUT", I shouted. "As you wish." and suddenly, a person appeared out of nowhere, scaring the crap out of me. "Don't appear out of nowhere!" "Well, it's your fault." "Why are you whispering these words in my ears? I know that I'm a half-blood(both as a demigod and a half-blood wizard) and that my grandfather's Poseidon. So what? I'm going to deal with it in the summer." I told the girl and she just laughed. "You think that it's going to be that easy, think again." she said before disappearing. The scene changed and suddenly, I hear someone whispering. "My lord, I will bring Harry potter and free you." said a familar voce that I've heard before but can't quite grasp it. "You'll only have one chance." someone hissed slowly that sent a shiver down my spine. "AH!" I suddenly woke up and sat in a sitting position. I checked my surrounding only to see my roommates sleeping before sighing. "Ha...." I held my head with my left hand and gasped for breath. "Ah....it's just a dream." I reminded to myself, getting up to go to the restroom to wash my face. When I remembered what happened yesterday, I sighed. "Ha...Today's going to be a long day." I thought to myself before reading a comic book from my luggage until everyone woke up.

"Mornin', Hermione." I said without looking up. "Morning, Rowan." she got up and stretched before going to the restroom and get ready. I looked at the clock and saw that it was almost time for breakfast. I placed my book mark inside the page I was on before getting up and climbing up my bunk bed before yelling "WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD!!!" I yelled, pulling her blanket off. "Ugh, 5 for minutes." Edith whined. "I have no choice but to do this." I told her before climbing down and bringing my wand out. "Levico-" "I'M UP." she shouted, getting up. My mother taught me "Levicorpus" when was little and it's been handy since forever. I wore my robes and grabbed my books before coming down the stairs for breakfast with Hermione and Edith. I ate some cereal while talking to Harry and Ron before going to class. I checked my schedule and I noticed that it was potions before going to the class and get through the first lesson of the school year. Well, that's what I would've want but..."Haywood. The headmaster wants you in his office. The password is Sugar Quills." Snape told me. I got up and everyone was paying attention to me while some were murmuring with their friends. I glared at the Slytherins and Gryffindors that were murmuring before leaving.

Uh, I actually have no idea where the headmaster's office is anyways. I was lost in no time and I gave up. I was planning to sit there until someone finds me and lucky for me! A girl in blue and bronze robes was walking in one of the corridors and she came over when she noticed me. "Hey, aren't you supposed to be in class?" she asked. "Well, I was going to Dumbledore's office when I realized that I didn't know where it was." I confessed. The next thing she did was to laugh at me. "Pff. You wanted to go to Headmaster Dumbledore's office and was walking up the stairs before finally realizing that you didn't know where it was when you're lost." She kept laughing and I just smiled wryly. "Ha ha. Very funny." I said, rolling my eyes. "Why are you going to the headmaster's office anyways." "Well, I mean. If I heard one of my students carrying an injured student covered in blood in their arms." I said, her eyes widening. "You're Rowan Haywood?!" "Um, yeah? Well, would you please just take me to the headmaster's office and get this over with." I said, sighing. "OK, OK. Follow me." She began leaving and I followed her....

"Here we are." Cho said, introducing me to the office. "Thanks." I took a breath and said "Sugar Quills." The door opened and I saw Dumbledore sitting on his chair, working in his desk. "See you later." I waved goodbye and went inside. "Goodbye." Cho said before leaving. Inside the office was full of portraits that I assumed were former headmasters and beside his desk, there was a phoenix and the Sorting Hat gathering dust once again on a chair. I sat down on one of the chairs and waited for Dumbledore to call my name. 5 minutes pasts, nothing. 10 minutes past, also nothing. It was 15 minutes later when he called my name. "Rowan. Sorry to keep you waiting but you do know why you're here, right?" "I kinda do and kinda don't." I admited while he stood up. "Miss Haywood, the reason why you're in my office is because yesterday past your curfew, you went to the Forbidden Forrest without permission. The other reason why your here is because inside the Forbidden Forrest, you witnessed someone who could possibly be a Death Eater who very clearly tortured Miss Parkinson." "Just my luck." I told Dumbledore my side of the story(excluding the dare part) and when I finished, he had a expression on his face that I can't explain. Anger, regret, anything other than happiness and fear.

"You're dismissed." Professor Dumbledore said a few minutes later. "Huh. Aren't I supposed to get a punishment because I broke one of the rules?" I asked, confused. "No, because you saved a student from your rival house's, so instead, you deserve to be rewarded. 150 points to Gryffindor!" My mouth dropped. "150 POINTS? And on my first day?" I was flabbergasted but left. I went to my next class and this time, I made sure to ask the portraits because there's 142 staircases at Hogwarts: wide, sweeping ones; narrow, rickety ones; some that led somewhere different on a Friday; some with a vanishing step halfway up that you had to remember to jump. Then there were doors that wouldn't open unless you asked politely, or tickled them in exactly the right place, and doors that weren't really doors at all, but solid walls just pretending.

"What happened while you were in Professor Dumbledore's office?" Both Hermione and Edith were worried but I calmed them down. "Woah! Come down." I told them what happened and they were flabbergasted. "150 points?" Edith yelled. "That's amazing!" "Uh, yeah bu-" "SHHH-Pay attention to class." Hermione scolded up. I basically skipped Potions, Charm, Herbology, and History that Edith said was boring and that most of the students fell asleep. Strict and clever, Professor Mcgonagall gave us a talking-to the moment they sat down in her first class.

"Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts," she said. "Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned." Then she changed her desk into a pig and back again. We were all very impressed and couldn't wait to get started, but soon realized we weren't going to be changing the furniture into animals for a long time. After taking a lot of complicated notes, 23 were each given a match and started trying to turn it into a needle. By the end of the lesson, only Hermione had made any difference to her match; Professor McGonagall showed the class how it had gone all silver and pointy and gave Hermione a rare smile.

The class that everyone(including me) looked forward to was but Quirrell's lessons turned out to be a bit of a joke. His classroom smelled strongly of garlic, which everyone said was to ward off a vampire he'd met in Romania and was afraid would be coming back to get him one of these days. His turban, he told them, had been given to him by an African prince as a thank-you for getting rid of a troublesome zombie, but they weren't sure they believed this story.

As we were going to Potions for the second time, I saw everyone sighing and moaning(all except Slytherins who were snickering at us and some were mocking us). I got pissed and pointed my middle finger at them as an insult. Everyone was in joy when they saw the Slytherins got offended by my gesture. One of Malfoy's goon came, I think his name was Crabbe, and shoved me. "WHAT TH-" Professor Mcgonagall came over and said "Minus 15 points for Slytherin for shoving Miss Haywood." before leaving. The Slytherins were furious while the Weasley twins laughed and some were trying not to laugh while the rest said "Serves them right."
