Hi guys, this is a story I wrote around two years ago. I loved it when I wrote it but now, I think it needs a lot of improvement. I wanted to post it anyway, I am fine with criticism and I hope you enjoy it!!! I will update weekly! This is not  a romance!

Okay so I am currently editing this, giving it more description and I do plan on adding a Sequel or Prequel. For the new readers you can read ahead if you want to but I will be making big changes for example this Prologue was originally 136 words now it's 459 words. I plan on writing when I have edited a chapter.

-Flora

A few years ago, a girl was born in the slums, in a hospital that must have been white a few decades ago but was currently more faded than anything, the black of the building beneath the paint was visible and there were brown splotches of dirt. The building itself was not in good condition it had several cracks, the windows were smudged with several scrapes, and the double doors of the hospital were severely scratched beyond repair, the only option they had in improvement was to replace the doors altogether.

"What do you want to name her?" The doctor wearing a pair of worn-out scrubs asks, the doctor herself looks weary but she has a small smile on her face.

The doctor finds a joy small in seeing a healthy child born, as many people in the area cannot afford the treatment of a sick, unhealthy child even if the hospital covers most expenses. The girl looks a little underweight something that's expected but she seems resilient with bright brown eyes and tuft of brown hair.

"I don't care what she should be named! Now get out of my way," The woman explodes,

The woman has an unusual amount of energy for someone who had only been in labor a few hours ago. The doctor had insisted she stay as she had done with the dozens of other women who had come for the same reason. It was mostly to avoid being sued at this point but was also for the safety of the patients.

"Theirs's actually a policy against that, please fill out these papers to make her legally yours," The doctor states tapping a pen to the page faced landscape on a generic brown clipboard.

The woman ignores the doctor, she abruptly stands up and roughly grabs the baby from the who begins to wail from the doctor's arms, as she exits the hospital slamming the double doors behind her with a clash. She shoves a hand on the baby's mouth to quiet it and eventually as the walk to the woman's house continues the baby seems to quiet down.

The woman enters her small, rickety, almost crumbling house made of wood, and she tosses the crying infant in an empty room in her basement, she shuts the door afterwards leaving the baby in the room by herself.

She goes into the room every day at certain feeding times and she sticks a bottle of lukewarm baby formula milk into the her mouth, so the infant won't die of starvation.

The girl learns to stop crying for nourishment, attention, even a diaper change after a few weeks. As the woman only provides her a bottle and an occasional diaper change when she's silent and nothing more.
