Okay so this is the next chapter I hope you enjoy. The story's almost over now and I'm a little worried about writing the rest of the sequel and prequel.

"I can't wait to see the girl," Rebecca says beaming at her brothers as they're walking on the sidewalk.

Rebecca has already picked up her brothers from school and she texted Alain that she siblings were going to go get ice-cream and watch a movie to celebrate the last day of school. Alain agreed to it and texted to be home before dark.

"We can save her bring her home and then Derik can adopt her." Rebecca continues

"Yea he sure does love adopting street kids," Jacob adds in

"I can get a new sister, and we'll go to the same school, and we'll be best friends, and Becca and I can have movie nights with her. I can even teach her how to read and write and we can figure out how old she is." Tim rambles excitedly

"Or she'll just bully you like I do right, Becca," Jacob says grinning

Rebecca just shakes her head at him with an amused expression.

They get to the girl's house and Tim decides to stay behind. Rebecca opens the door and she and Jacob enter the house.

"Hey, Carrie are you ready to go somewhere," Rebecca grins

Rebecca looks around the room as she tries to find the girl. She looks on the ground after she hears Jacob gasp. She stares in shock.

"We were supposed to save her," Jacob mutters angrily

"Let's just call the police Jacob." Rebecca says quietly "I'll also call Derik"

Tim opens the house's door "Becca are you calling all of them so we can take the girl home with us?" Tim asks

"No Tim I'm not calling for that," Rebecca mutely says

A look of despair reaches Tim's face when he sees the body. "We were supposed to rescue her we were supposed to save her...she was going to be my sister." He wails in sorrow.

"Are the police coming?" Jacob asks keeping his eyes on the body.

"Yea they're coming in 25 minutes. I don't get why the police station is so far away from here anyway this place has more crimes than anywhere else in the city." Rebecca angrily scoffs.

"The keywords in what you just said are 'more crimes than anywhere else in the city' you know how lazy the police are." Jacob irritatingly says, "So is Derik coming?"

"Yea he's coming soon he says he's leaving from the airport right away. He asked me where he wanted us to meet him and I told him at the house and that we'll be there in about an hour. We can walk home after we watch the officers look for evidence for a little while."

The police officers eventually arrive to investigate the premises. After the officers arrive, they tell the three of them that they can watch from a distance. An officer approaches the kids to question them Tim stays behind Rebecca.

"Hello, I'm officer John I'd like to ask you some questions." The officer informs them.

"Okay, what do you want to ask?" Rebecca queries

"How did you end up trespassing an abandoned property?" The officer asks

"Listen cop or whatever your name is that's not why we called you here we called you for a murder so why don't you do your job," Jacob growls
