Two seemingly broken people seem to find something truly amazing within one another in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. What started out as annoyance, quickly turned to something much more. Something neither Lana nor Billy wanted to admit. Things...

We finally arrived at the junkyard while we placed another meat trail along the way. I had to listen to Steve give my little brother a girl talk and how to proceed with one, talk about sexual energy, mention me a couple times and how he does his hair. So needless to say, I was ready to get to work and not have to listen to that anymore.
"Come on Farrah! It's go time!" I clapped Steve on the back with a little smirk of humor showing on my face, teasing him about something he let slip that he uses on his hair. I about died from laughter when he said it.
"You're lucky I like you Lana. So lucky." I brushed him off with a laugh, looking around the entire junkyard I hadn't been to in so long.
"Hey guys!" I looked up over the hill to see Lucas and Max making their way over here, waving at them both with a little smile. While Lucas and Dustin went to talk about most likely Max, I went and actually started getting some work done on how exactly we were going to catch this thing with Steve and Max. I swear if those two don't get their shit together over Max, there is going to be a smackdown.
"So Lana, Billy was at your house last night?" I suddenly stopped what I was doing upon Max's words, seeing a look of humor on her face from my awkwardness to the question.
"Oh uh.... yeah. He was. There's no point in lying to you now huh?" She laughed a little, picking up some materials along the way to help us set up some form of trap.
"He mentioned you earlier. He's different when he talks about you. It's kind of scary." I couldn't keep the smile off of my face at this point. It is scary actually. The things he's making me feel and think.
"Hey shit heads! Why is Lana and some random girl the only ones helping me? Come on!!" Steve's sudden bang of a chair hitting against a car startled us all, seeing Dustin and Lucas emerging from behind said car with a few names directed at Steve that weren't nice. But hilarious.
We eventually got everything we could possibly need to set this Demogorgon up to be trapped, when it was soon enough nightfall. We eventually camped out in this old school bus that was the main source for catching Dart. And it was eerily quiet out here.
"So you guys have really fought one of these things before?" Steve and I both looked to a curious Max, seeing a little smile on her lips. I knew she was having a hard time believing us. But she'll see soon enough.
"And you're sure it wasn't just some bear?" I sent her a look that clearly stated I know the difference between a damn bear and interdenominational creature! Huge difference in fact.
"Look, if you don't believe us, then why are you here?! Just go home." Dustin suddenly exploded in annoyance towards her, seeing the look on Max's face of anger. I simply sighed with a shake of my head.
"Is it past someone's bed time? Geez." Max went up the ladder to sit on lookout with Lucas, leaving us three inside to our own thoughts. I was nervous. Beyond nervous.
"That's how you do it. Act like you don't care. Good job." I slapped Steve on the arm from the remembrance of his personal philosophy on women. It was bogus.
"And you wonder why we aren't together anymore." Dustin suddenly laughed, igniting a clear smile to my lips for the first time since we've been here on Dart duty. My focus quickly shifted to a talking Max and Lucas overhead from the mention of Billy's name, talking about what brought them to Hawkins all the way from California. About how Billy has been completely evil to her ever since over it. Even though it's not her fault her mom and dad couldn't see eye to eye.
Her mom and step dad just wanted to get away, start a new life away from him. But by doing that, it completely hurt Max. And Billy. There's so much more to Billy's story. And I just want to know what it is and carefully read every single page. And stop him from terrorizing poor Max.
Suddenly, a loud growl could be heard from outside the bus and I knew right away that it had to be Dart. We all jumped up, looking around to see what was out there. If we could see Dart.
"Guys? He's not taking the bait. It's not working." Steve looked to me with sudden determination in his eyes once we realized the Demogorgon wasn't going to eat the meat we laid out when it finally came into view from all the fog surrounding us. It wanted something else. Us.
"Steve? Where are you going? You can't go out there!" He grabbed his bat that was laying against the wall of the bus, throwing the lighter to Dustin that we would eventually need. But I was terrified out of my mind. He's crazy. Batshit crazy.
"I'll be okay Lan. Just get ready. Okay?" He went out the bus door before I could protest any further, knowing I would try to stop him. Dustin closed the door behind him and I waited with baited breath to see just what was about to unfold. The sounds the Demogorgon was making filled the fog with a menacing undertone, clearly on the prowl. Ready to attack. But I wasn't prepared for more than one to show.
"Steve!!! Get out of there!!!! 3 o'clock!!!" Lucas and I both panicked from spotting the second one and possibly more creeping up on Steve. He was the new item on the menu. And they weren't backing down. I instantly shoved the bus door open, screaming my head off for him to abort, right along with Dustin over my shoulder.
"Steve hurry!!! Please!!!!" He finally managed to jump back into the busy with the Demogorgons ramming right into the door, shaking the entire bus. Our screams filled the night air with the continuing shaking.
"Shit! Block the door!!! They can get in!!!" Steve grabbed a hold of a sheet of metal and slammed it against the door, placing his feet on it with all his might, guarding us all from the dangers outside. They suddenly started to bust their way through the metal walls, leaving their marks as they went.
Steve bashed them with his bat while I hit them repeatedly with a stray log I found laying around. They finally stopped. But one jumped to the top of the bus after a horrible moment of silence, leaving us with our breaths caught in our throats from what they were about to do.
"Stay back Lana....." Steve pushed me behind him while I guarded Dustin, Lucas and Max behind me, when a Demogorgon slowly crept its way to the ladder entryway, opening its mouth with that deafening scream leaving it.
"Anyone?! Can you hear us?! I repeat we're at the junkyard and about to die!!! Mike!!! Will!!! Help!!!!" I screamed while clinging to The back of Steve's jacket, seeing him right in the line of fire with the damn thing, hitting it over and over with his bat until It suddenly vanished, going deadly silent from all around us.
Their faraway cries could be faintly heard. And I was scared shitless. We eventually left the confines of the bus once we realized they were actually gone. And I had a horrible feeling why.
"What happened? Did Steve scare them off?" Steve and I stepped further out into the now clear junkyard, the fog completely disappearing along with the Demogorgons. And I knew this wasn't good.
"No....... they were called somewhere else." My words rung out into the night air around us, feeling pure panic take over me. This was bad. Really bad. And all I wanted, was to be with Billy.
