"As you become our seal, you will learn how your species will reproduce, the luxuries, abilities, and liabilities of it. As well as diet, you will need to adapt to your new way of life. Which included a new habitat, where we will be headed next. You'll be unshackled, and you will follow me. Understand?" She rambled on.
"Yes, I understand," I said exposed. My wrists and legs came free and I sat up and scooted off the table. It was then I noticed that I was completely hairless, including the top of my head. Without saying anything, I followed Dr. Lambrick as we passed through another hallway and into a large room with a smaller little beach inside of it.
"This is the terrarium. We've recently had it retrofitted to fit your species. You will live here until your transformation is complete. You will tranquilized when you will be operated on, and you will wake back up in the terrarium. The water is 14 feet deep, so there is plenty of enough room for you. Please, enter the terrarium now," She kept going, seemingly never stopping. I followed her commands and began walking into the terrarium, when suddenly I was whipped in the back hard. I winced and shed a tear. "Seals do not walk. Please practice the art of undulation from now on, and put this collar on," she corrected and handed me a collar.
"What is undulation?" I said, grabbing my back in pain, "And what is this for?"
"Undulation is how seals move on land. You ever been to the zoo? Surely you've seen them bounce around on land. Amusing to watch but it's their only option, and now, it's yours," She told me, "And the collar tracks your height, it will shock you if you stand up. So, don't." Now, forbidden from standing up, I laid on my stomach and slid across the ground using my knees as anchor points. As I finally entered my new home I turned and looked at Dr. Lambrick, who now was permanently behind about four inches of bulletproof glass. She walked over the microphone and tapped it, which made a thumping sound through the speakers inside the terrarium. "Your first operation is scheduled for tomorrow. Please use this time to get accustomed to your new habitat, and mentally prepare for tomorrow," she harshly said. She began leaving the room, as did all the other scientists. I was left alone in the terrarium, able to do whatever I wanted, so long as I didn't stand up.
I noticed that there wasn't a bed for me, or anything put out for me. I put two and two together and realized I had to sleep in the sand. So, I crawled over to a spot that looked like was deep, and began digging a hole.  I dug a hole about six inches deep and long enough to hold my torso. I lied down inside and then piled the sand back onto my stomach. I'm being mistreated. I'm still a human being and I'm being treated like some field mouse. Is this really what I wanted... I thought, beginning to have doubts. My mind was racing a mile a minute, but my heart was slowing down. My eyes got heavy and my head fell back as I fell asleep.

I opened my eyes to a beach full of seals. I looked down at myself and saw that I was still human, shocked, I looked around to see all the seals noticed that I didn't belong. They started bouncing towards me and surrounded me. Then one of them moved themselves on top of me. I felt the weight crushing my body as I helplessly clawed at the sand. Going nowhere, I felt my bones crumbling underneath his rough, rubbery skin. I tried screaming, but nothing came out.
