Chapter 30

Chris's POV

"Congrats sa inyo anak." bati ni Mama.

"Salamat Ma. Sorry kung hindi ka nakasali sa pagpaplano ng wedding and sorry din kung hindi ko nafullfill yung gusto mong wedding para sa'kin."

"Don't mind it, I understand the situation naman. But still ikakasal naman kayo ulit di ba? And by that time sa church na. I can't wait for that."

"Yeah, sige Ma." I lied. "Excuse me muna Ma ha." at pumunta muna ako ng comfort room. I shouldn't be crying after kong ikasal but I couldn't help myself, ang sakit lang kasi, na to have a thought of her leaving me again, and this time hindi na siya babalik.

~Flashback~

I was lost in thoughts habang nagpapahangin. I can't believe sa mga nangyayari. Sana bangungot lang lahat ng ito.

Then I heard a familiar voice. "Shouldn't you be by her side right now."

Hinarap ko siya and can't help myself but to feel annoyed after seeing his face.

"Bakit nandito ka pa? Di ba I told you na dapat na sa tabi ka niya ngayon."

"Anong trip mo? Kung mambwebwesit ka lang, can you just leave me alone instead."

"So totoo palang galit ka. You're mad because you were the last one to know di ba. Ang baba naman ng reason mo, for you to be mad."

Hindi na ako nakapagpigil and I grabbed the collar of his shirt. "Ano bang paki mo, ha!"

He smirk and pushed me kaya nabitawan ko yung pagkahawak ko sa kanya. "What the hell dude. Can't you see that Sharon's sick and yet, here you are nagpapalabas ng galit mo. Don't you know she has a little time left, dapat sinusulit niyo na yun. Stop being a jerk about small things like your anger and pride. Mahal mo siya di ba, you should only be thinking of her and not yourself."

"What do you mean na she has little time left?"

"You know what I mean."

"Then how much time does she have left? A year? Months? Weeks?"

"Days, Claire and I overheard Tita and doctor's conversation earlier. Kaya make it count Chris."

"Why do we only have that much time left? Di ba pumunta siya ng States for treatment, ano useless lang ba yun?"

"I don't want to interfere but Sharon's my friend and I could say na kaibigan na rin kita. Kaya I'll tell you na she didn't proceed to her treatment while she was in States. I'll leave the reason kay Sha, I'm no position to tell you more." at naglakad na paalis si Kier John.

~End of Flashback~

Nanghilamos na ako at bumalik na sa kwarto ni Sha.

Claire's POV

It was 6 pm already kaya we decided to na umuwi na. Nagpaalam na kami kina Tita "Tita, mauna na po kami."

"Sige-sige, ingat kayo ha."

"Yes po Tita."

"Uwi na kami Sha, Chris."

"Congrats ulit sa inyong dalawa."

"Thanks sa inyo guys." sabay nilang sagot.

Sumakay na kami ng kotse ni Jerrick. I was in the backseat seat with Jay, while si Gab naman sa passenger seat. We both still haven't talked that much after nung nangyari the other day. Yes, we exchange smiles and all pero hindi pa talaga kami nagkausap and all.

"Grabe, may kinasal na sa barkada natin. Tayo babe, kailan gusto mong ikasal sa'kin?"

"Isipin mo munang tapusin ang course mo babe."

"Babe naman. Gusto mo pakasal na rin tayo?"

"Babe, huwag ka ngang atat, marriage is not a race. Ano ka ba."

"Yeah I know that."

"Chris and Sha been through a lot. Kaya deserve nila na maging masaya with and for each other."

"Let's just pray for the successful therapy and full recovery of Sha soon."

"Jerrick's right, let's pray for that."

Pagkaabot namin sa tapat ng dorm ay nagpaalam na kami kina Jay at Jerrick.

I was about to open the gate when she called out my name. "Claire."

"Hmm.."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry kasi nagalit ako sa'yo, nung nalaman ko na nakauwi na si Sha and nung the other day."

"I'm sorry din kung hindi kita sinabihan about kay Sha."

"No, you don't have to apologize. Naiintindihan ko naman. Claire... magiging okay naman si Sha di ba? Gagaling naman siya di ba?"

I give her a comforting smile. "I know lalaban si Sha, Gab. Gagaling siya." Umiiyak na siya kaya I hug her. I don't want to lose hope, alam kong days nalang ang natitira kay Sha but still aasa ako na may miracle na mangyayari na makakarecover siya na she'll get through this. Hindi ko na rin napigilan ang mga luha ko. We broke the hug and I wiped her tears. "One thing I know about Sha, na she's a fighter and she learned that from you Gab."

Sharon's POV

After makauwi nina Claire ay after a while ay nagpaalam na rin si Kier John.

"Congrats sa inyo ulit."

"Thank you Kier John." "Thanks bro."
Then lumabas na siya.

"By the way anak, uuwi lang muna ako ahh.. May nangungulit kasi na gustong-gusto kang bantayan, plus may surprise pang dadating sa'yo bukas."

"Ma, another surprise? Naku spoiled na ako masyado nito."

"Ohh.. sha, uwi na ako. Chris keep your word ha na babantayan mo anak ko ng maayos."

"Yes naman po Tita, I'll take good care of my wife."

"Naku, call me Mama na. Sige uwi na ako."

"Bye po Ma, ingat kayo." sabay naming paalam kay Mama then lumabas na siya.

"Sigurado ka dito ka matutulog? It'll be very uncomfortable na matulog sa couch kaya."

"Don't worry about me asawa ko. I'll be fine."

"Pftt.. asawa ko? Corny mo ahh..."

"So anong gusto mo? Honey? Ma? Wifey? Mhie?"

"No need for those."

"Okay, asawa ko." sabay taas-baba ng kilay ko. "Sige, I'll set up muna yung matutulogan ko."

He moved the couch palapit sa bed ko at inayos na niya yung pillow at blanket niya. I think it's about time na rin to tell him about Mirabless.

"Aahh.. Chris."

Chris's POV

I was busy preparing ng matutulugan ko.

"Aahh.. Chris."

"Ohh..asawa ko, ayos ba? Para na rin tayong magkatabi nito, pero kung ayaw mo, pwede ko rin naman ibalik 'to sa dating ayos."

"No, it's fine. Ahhmm... Chris, may sasabihin sana ako sa'yo."

"Ano yun?"

She showed me a photo of a baby na nasa incubator.

"I want you to meet Mirabless, ang anak natin."
