"What is wrong with you?"

Louis' heart was on fire.

"What is wrong with me? You're the one planning dates with your boyfriend-"

"Yeah, that's what normal people do when they have a partner!"

It was immersed in flames.

"Normal people don't plan dates that are an exact replication of a moment they had with their old friend!"

"You can't possibly be mad because of that!"

"Maybe I am! It's not like that night was special to me! I thought it was special to you too!"

"You're being ridiculous."

"Right, excuse me for wanting to keep stargazing between us."

Harry groaned as he followed an exasperated boy outside into the cold.

"What do you want me to say, Louis? It's not like we were dating at the time."

Louis stopped in his tracks and let out a sigh.

"That shouldn't matte-"

"None of this should matter! I should be inside with my boyfriend, but instead, I'm here chasing after some guy that can't even feel love!"

Louis turned to face Harry with tears in his eyes. Harry's face went pink as he processed what he had said.

"I'm just some guy to you?"

"No, no, I didn't mean that."

"I'm some guy that can't feel love? That's what I am in your mind?"

"No Lou-"

"What so now I'm Lou to you? No, that's not cool. Lou was Harry's best friend."

"Louis, I'm sorry!"

"Shut up. Just," He inhaled, "Shut up. You're so oblivious."

Harry frowned as Louis glared at him.

"I'm going to tell you a story, and you're going to listen."

Louis fiddled with the green bracelet on his wrist as he prepared to speak. It was nerve-racking. He never was one to open up about his feelings.

"There once was a boy named Louis. His parents separated when he was young, and that kicked off his hatred for love. He was content not experiencing his first kiss or random dates at the park. He was fine. Love wasn't a crucial part of his life. But then he met Harry."

Harry's eyes widened as his name was mentioned.

"Harry was awkward and clumsy and so incredibly cocky. He wouldn't leave Louis alone, and somehow, he befriended him. Eventually, Louis and Harry became inseparable, and they spent all their free time together."

Harry hesitantly took a step towards Louis.

"They went into university as the closest of friends. Louis had never been happier. But then Harry met someone and stopped hanging out with Louis."

"Are you trying to make a point here?" Harry asked, his hands resting on Louis' hips.

"Yes, I'm trying to make a point!" Louis shouted as he pushed Harry away from him. The taller boy stumbled back, almost falling into the snow.

"I'm not an emotionless robot! I'm a very human boy that's in love with the idiot standing in front of him!"

"What?"

"I love you! I love you so much, and you're killing me every single day."

The two boys went silent, the only sound being Louis' heavy breathing. Louis was seeing red. He was frustrated and overwhelmed by emotions he couldn't begin to describe. His only goal was to leave the situation, but he was also mad at Harry. His first love.

Thinking about Harry irritated him even more. It's why he ripped his bracelet off and threw it at him. He always knew his lack of self-restraint would destroy him one day. Impulsive acts came naturally to him.

"Not that you care, but I kept mine on! You can have it! Just another piece of me that seems to belong to you. How bloody wonderful!"

Harry picked up the green item from out of the snow and stared at it. He slipped it in his pocket before stepping towards Louis, ignoring the way his phone was ringing in his hand.

"What happened to you?" Louis asked, stopping Harry in his place.

"What?"

"You used to be so happy and this ball of light. Where did he go?"

"..."

"Nice. Go back to your boyfriend, Harry."

Louis sat down before leaning back and closing his eyes. Harry looked down at him in the snow and smiled at the scene.

"I'm not your boyfriend, so I don't know why you're still here."

"Right. Bye, Louis."

Louis hummed in response. He waited until Harry had left before opening his eyes and letting a tear roll down his cheek. The stars shine terribly through watery eyes.

"Bye, Haz."
