Today we are celebrating both Tyler and Tristan's birthdays before Vance, Steven and Carson leave for their homes; we're having their birthday party here at home and I've invited a few kids from the neighborhood that they know and have play dates with and the Carmichael's.
"Liam, where do you want this?" Steven asks showing me the one large birthday cake he picked up from the grocery store. The cake itself is chocolate but the top is split into two sections, one for each boy; Tyler picked out 'Spiderman' and Tristan picked out 'Superman'.
"Um, the fridge is fine for now; thanks for picking it up Steven," I say to him.
"Happy too," he responds, placing it in the cleared out spot in the fridge.
Four hours later, the party is done and was a success if I do say so myself, I think; as the boys seem to have fun; once the kids were gone, leaving the Carmichael's and us, there is a loud knock on the front door confusing the hell out of all us adults. Walking to the door to answer it with Tristan on my hip while Tyler is latched onto Vance in the living room; my mouth drops open at the sight of the four people standing in front of me. All four people standing in front of me have sheepish smiles on their faces as each one holds a small wrapped present in their hands.
"Liam, who is at the door?" Vance asks as he and Tyler join us at the door.
"Holly fuck," Riley mutters taking in Vance's appearance.
"Um, Vance, these are a few people I knew in San Diego before I moved to Casper," I tell him as they take in each other.
"You lived in San Diego?" Steven asks as the rest of the family joins us, further embarrassing me.
"Yeah and I lived with Parker for a short time too," I murmur as I gesture toward him while making eye contact with him.
"All three of you look like him," Julia says in awe, referring to Luke.
"They met Luke before?" Carson demands.
"Briefly at a fundraiser in California once," I respond.

"Kid aren't you going to invite us in?" Parker half jokes yet is serious.
"Um, yeah sure," I stammer; not wanting to be rude but I don't want them in my house either with the Carmichael's either; also embarrassed that my house isn't anything compared to theirs.
Allowing them inside, never more thankful that the Carmichael's are here though; "Um, we can head into the living room; would anyone like something to drink?"
After a round of 'no's' from them, Victor and Sonya announce that they're heading home, their son's remain with me though.
"Um, Vance, Carson and Steven this is Riley, Julia, Parker and Axel," I introduce before introducing the four of them to my almost brother-in-laws to them. "These three are Luke's older brothers and my boys' uncles."
"Papa, they knowdaddy?" Tyler asks innocently from Vance's lap.
"Yeah Ty," I respond as Tristan starts crying softly due to all the new people in the house.
