Drew Barrymore but make it a nightmare

Seulgi's POV
I felt weird staying over at anyone's house. As I wasn't used to that. Sleeping at someone else's bed just didn't really sit right with me. I mean why do people even do sleep overs? What can you even do? Sleep? I can do that alone too! "Morning."
"Oh hi? Morning Irene. Slept well?" I asked.
"Well yeah kind of. Perhaps you should go back to sleep as it is still dark Seulgi."
"Well it's 4 am it'll brighten up soon. That's the time I usually go and have a walk by the beach." I said
"Beach. Okay. Beach It is.." she said
"Alone" I said
"Oh. Okay I'll just hang out with Chaeng or something." She said
"Irene I don't think you could do that today because um it's their anniversary"
"Bullocks... okay.. I'll just binge watch Drew Barrymore movies"
I could only agree with her statement.
"I'm out so.. see you later?"
"Yeah definitely."
"By the way this was fun and stuff but like I have to go back to my own home. The bonding thing we could probably do without the sleepovers and like.. I am concerned about my sister" I said in a sad tone. "No, no! It's totally fine Seulgi you don't need to explain yourself. Go look after your sister. No ones holding you hostage" she responded but even tho she said she doesn't mind I still felt my heartbreak saying that.

I went out and got into my car. I started it. I drove home and immediately went to see if the kids are still there. "Joy?.." "yeri?"
I heard giggles. Yeah. Couldn't be anyone else.
"Hi." Yeri said
"Hi Yeri where's Joy?" I asked
"Toilet. How was the sleepover thing?" She responded
"Good I guess" I said.
"You guess?" She asked.
"Yeah pretty much."I answered.
Joy came out of the bathroom and stared at me. "What?" I asked. "Thought you'd be at the beach walking and enjoying the sunrise." She said. "No I actually was gonna go there but I have sisterly instincts and I'm concerned." I said. "I'm Fine though" she replied. Does she really mean it though? Is she fine? My phone beeped.

Irene: you there?
Me: I actually checked on my sister. Couldn't make it to the beach.

Irene is typing...

That's odd. I said as I placed my phone down.

Chaengie😌: Ayo bear, tomorrow me and Mina are planning another anniversary party but this time we are doing it with other people like an invitation thing?
Me: What a grand gesture to invite me eh?
Chaengie😌: Innit 😹😹 you coming?
Seulgi:
Me: you nuts? Even tho Mina hates me I still will come by for my best mate.
Chaengie😌: Sweet! See you at ************ around 9PM.

An invitation to a party. Pulling up there would either be the best or worst choice. Either way it's chaeng and I'm glad to do so. Bullocks. It's 7 am. I've gotta go to school. "Joy get dressed!" I yelled. "I'm not going to school today. We literally have a day off." Shit yeah I forgot. Kids have it so much easier don't they?

I ran to my car. Unlocked it and got in. I drove as fast as I could just in time arrived at 7:40.
"Oi there!" Chaeyoung approached me. "You're a bit late come follow me" she said "alright" I responded".
"Ms Park is not teaching today. Ms Kim is. Which is why we're lucky because Ms Park would cuss you out" Chaeyoung said as she pulled me into the classroom. "Hey babe I was wondering where you went" Mina walked up to us and fixed Chaeyoung's shirts collar. "I was picking up Seulgi" she answered and smiled at me. "Oh Seulgi. Hi." Mina said. "I don't have time for the insults maybe next time?" I said.
"I'm not gonna insult you" she laughed.
"Everyone attention!" Ms Kim yelled so the class could hear. I went back into my desks position and stared at Joohyun. I sighed. "Hani won't you tell the class what will be happening?" Ms Kim looked at the tall girl.
"Oh yeah. Everyone. Due to COVID-19 unfortunately we will be having to reschedule most of our school activities and those who still live with their parents are not allowed to come to school. They should take safe percussion so that they don't get sick. And those who don't have a strong immune system should stay home too. Note: this is the situation now it could get worse and we could possibly be living through a lockdown" Hani stated and I just felt so relieved. COVID might have me finally not interacting with those who hate me. "Got it everyone? Loud and clear" Ms Kim asked us. And everyone nodded.

"Seulgi this is exactly like a nightmare!! It's like Poison Ivy but make it a pandemic!!!" Irene said in disbelief. "Not really. It's not a pandemic. No one confirmed it? I mean WHO didn't say that? Plus it's March I'm pretty sure once Summer arrives the Virus would be gone" I replied. "Not confirmed!! Yet!! Gosh.. this is a nightmare. What would Drew Barrymore do in such a situation?" Irene asked. "I believe she would do what she did in Charlie's Angels and take safe percussions and calm the hell down" I answered. "Doesn't she rebel against the system?" Irene asks. "No do you even know what you're talking about? She doesn't rebel. She's a tough girl who saves people. Remember?" I ask in a confused tone. "Oh yeahhhh!!" She answered. Whatever. I'm kind of happy about this. This means I won't have to interact with those who hate me. Riiight? Ugh snap out of it. To wish a pandemic is not normal. People are dying Seulgi. Wait maybe this is a nightmare.
