*Outsider P.O.V.*
Crows scatter from the window-sills as local goth Damien emerges into his front garden. He swings the grand door open with watering can in hand, walking up to the beautifully kept bed of black and red roses, giving them their daily watering. His house stuck out like a sore thumb in the cul-de-sac. Everyone else's was a gentle pastel colour or a simple white, his however was eccentric with gargoyles perched by the doorstep and all black decor with highlights of purple. His house was the only one of its kind, that was until recently;

The newest resident of Maple Bay also seemed to boast a gothic style, her house sat at the very end of the neighbourhood as it was a new build. While her aesthetic was gothic it varied from that of Damien's, instead featuring some vibrancy among the images of skulls etc, almost reminding him of the celebration the Day of the Dead.

Upon her arrival Damien originally felt some resentment, after all he was used to being the only eye catcher in the area with his style choices. However as time progressed he felt himself wanting to get to know the mysterious young lady living at the end of his street, and so today he decided he would finally pay the house a visit.

It's early morning as he leaves the front gate, in his hand he carries a goodie bag of home made cookies and biscuits, it would be rude to not offer a gift. As he approaches the new eccentric house Damien notices the curtains drawn open as the sunlight beams in to them, meaning she must be awake. Good, he didn't wish to disturb a newcomer from their slumber as a first impression, as it surely wouldn't go well.

The raven haired man swings the property gate open as he steps into the front garden, it's neatly decorated with a stone well and an intricate wooden bench nearby. Continuing forward he reaches the main door, it's decorated with a sugar skull door knocker, using it he taps the door gently and awaits a response.

On the other side of the wood shuffling can be heard followed by a distance shout, "Coming!" a sweet voice chimes moments before the door swings open. In front of Damien stands an elegantly dressed girl in a new-gothic gown, he smiles at the sight. "Hello?" she questions as her eyes meet his, "Morning," he smiles "I'm Damien, one of your neighbours, I just thought I should swing by and introduce myself." he explains as she looks at him quizzically. She grins and nods "Oh lovely to meet you! I'm (Y/N), would you like to come in for a drink?" the young woman offers as she reveals her name. Damien nods as the two enter the building, closing the door behind them.

The inside of her home also reflects the gothic style with perhaps simple hints of colour scattered about. She leads Damien to the sofa where he takes a seat, in front of them on the coffee table rests a tray of drinks, tea to be exact. Taking a cup Damien smiles to her "This is lovely, thank you." her cheeks flush a pastel pink as she sits beside him, resting close to his side as their arms brush against each other. "I brought you this." he remembers as he hands her the bag of sweet treats, she grins widely. "Ooo thanks! That's very kind of you." she giggles as she rests her head onto his shoulder.

"So (Y/N)?" Damien starts, placing his cup onto a coaster. "What brings you to Maple Bay?" he questions, attempting to spark up a conversation. The girl shrugs as she takes a sip of her tea "Just wanted a change you know? New place new people." he nods as he listens to her. He finds her voice to be soothing, her tone is gentle and soft, it relaxes him, he could listen to her talk for hours.

The afternoon was drawing on as the two continued to talk, their drinks having been finished long ago. Damiens arm was resting comfortably around (Y/N)'s waist, his hand hovering her hip, her head lay nestled in the crook of his neck as the two had quickly become cosy in each other's company.

"I'm afraid I'll have to head home soon," Damien sighs as he looks at the resting young lady. She nods and separates herself from him "That's alright, but I'd love to see you again sometime." She smiles as the two head toward the door. "Of course," Damien agrees as he steps out of the house, remaining on the doorstep. "Well you know where my house is but here." he smiles as he exchanges phone numbers with her. (Y/N) grins and places a quick kiss to the mans cheek, making his face hue red. "See you soon!" she exclaims as he makes his way back to his own home.
