As soon as Laura entered her room, she saw her father's face projected on the screen. When she neared and sat down, her father began to talk, but she couldn't hear what he was saying for her thoughts were just too loud.
"Laura, darling, are you listening to me, I asked where you were when someone broke into our house?" Laura was snapped out of her daze and answers quickly. "Um sorry dad, I was in the library reading, What exactly happened?" Laura's dad, looks at her with stern eyes, which tells her that he knows what happened, but instead of telling her the truth, he said "Nothing for you to worry about, as long as you can promise me that you were in the library the whole time and never left." Laura shook her head yes, and with that her father's face disappeared and she was back to her "old life". At least that's what everyone thought would happen.
