I went upstairs and immediately called Sofi. She answered and looked mad.
"I can't believe you blew me off for your new friends."
"I'm sorry, if it makes you feel any better I ran into Jasper and we had dinner because said girls had dinner without me. He also drove me home."
"Awwww, ok that makes me feel better. Did you find out whether or not he's dating his sister?"
"Yeah I asked him and he said that I was the only woman on his mind."
"AWWWWW."
"Yeah," I said blushing.
Suddenly Jasper stood in front of my window.
"Hey, Sofi, I gotta go."
"Why? Who's there?"
"Uhm, nobody, love you."
"Stay safe!"
I hung up.
"Hi," I said.
"Hey, sorry for interrupting your call."
"It's ok, we were actually talking about you."
He smiled.
"Good things?"
"Of course, cowboy."
He sat at the end of my bed. He smiled from the nickname I gave him. I moved over in case he wanted to sit next to me.
"I don't bite," I said.
He smiled and came up to where I sat and sat next to me. He looked and me and I looked at him. He glanced at my lips and back to my eyes. He leaned in and I leaned closer. Before our lips touched he stopped.
"Don't move. I want to try something."
I nodded and he slowly eased into a kiss. I sat still and the kiss heated up a bit. I moved my hand to the back of his neck and his hands went to my waist. He bit my lip and I moaned into the kiss. I moved up, almost straddling him at this point. Suddenly he was against my wall and I looked down.
"I'm sorry," I said.
I bit my lip and scratched my naked hand.
"I can't ever lose control with you."
I looked up and he leaned towards my window.
"Please don't leave," I said quietly.
He turned to me and came and sat by me again. I leaned my head on his chest and we talked.
-
I woke up to my door opening.
"Hey, come on, I wanna take you to the diner for breakfast with Charlie and Bella."
"Um, ok."
I didn't see Jasper at all. I sat up and thought about last night. I smiled thinking of the heated kiss. I got up and brushed through my hair quickly. I threw on a sweater and some jeans with and older pair of gloves I had. I quickly sent a text to Sofi saying Jasper made a surprise visit and startled me. She sent me back a text saying how cute that was. Then she sent another saying "hoes before bros". I laughed and went downstairs.
"You ready?" My mom asked.
I nodded. I noticed she was wearing a dress and some makeup.
"Why are you all dressed up? It's just breakfast."
"Is it too much? I thought I looked cute."
"You look cute, but like I said, it's just breakfast."
"Well, I just want to look nice."
"Mhmm."
She sighed and the conversation dropped.
"Okay, let's go," she said.
-
When we got to the diner Charlie and Bella sat in a booth already.
"Hey," Charlie said smiling.
"Goodmorning," My mom replied.
"You look beautiful, Camilla," Charlie complimented.
I looked to Bella and she looked about as mortified as I felt. I sat down across from Bella and my mom sat across Charlie. This was a little weird. Bella looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and the waiter came to take our orders.
-
About halfway through my meal, I looked outside and saw Jasper standing. I rubbed my eyes not knowing if I was half asleep. He was still there. He smiled and me and waved me over. I put up a finger signalling "one minute". I looked to my mom.
"Hey, food was great, um, a friend of mine is outside and I forgot I made plans with him. Is it ok if I go with him and take the rest of my food to go?" I pleaded.
"We're having breakfast still," she said looking at me confused.
"I know, but I promised him we could work on our history project this morning and forgot all about it."
"I guess yeah," my mom sighed.
"Thank you, see you Bella, by Charlie. Love you mom bye."
I quickly scooped my food into a to-go box and walked out.
"History project?" Jasper asked smirking.
"A white lie never hurt anybody."
"That is incorrect."
I smiled.
"I'm here aren't I? What did you need?" I asked.
"I may or may not have told Alice I'd get you to come over for the makeover so she would get off my back about it."
"You told your sister I'd be okay with a makeover?" I asked.
"Yes," he said grabbing my hand.
"I guess it beats sitting here with my mom flirting with Charlie."
"You don't like Charlie?"
"I do, it's just weird for me."
The question made me think of my father and that upset me. I looked away from Jasper to hide my emotions.
"I'm sorry I upset you, let's go."
"It's not your fault."
I got into his car and he looked at me in the eyes. In seconds my sadness faded and I felt excited instead.
"Hey, get out of my head," I scolded him.
"Just fixing my mistake."
He smirked and drove off. He held my hand as we drove to his house. I started getting nervous. What if his family didn't like me? What if they didn't approve of me because I'm a vampire? My stomach churned and I pulled my hand away from Jasper's to scratch. He looked at me confused. I stared out the window attempting to hide my emotions. Once again, they pathokinetic man beside me saw right through it. He reached for my hand again and I didn't let him take it.
"Don't worry about my family, they know how I feel about you. Even if they didn't approve, it wouldn't change anything, but I'm almost certain 5 out of 6 of them would love you. Rosalie is just anti-everything except Emmett. She's very protective."
