"You brought snacks?" The blonde man asked.

Everyone had got into a defensive position. Everything happened so quickly. When they stood and turned away my hands itched like crazy. I started freaking out. Where these vampires after us now? Jasper looked like he was in shock and he pulled me to his car in a hurry.

"I'm so sorry Ophelia I never should have brought you out here."

"What's going on? Please talk to me I'm freaking out."

I took off my gloves and the lumps were moving in all different directions. I started hitting the lumps trying to make them stop.

"I'm going to get you far away from here I'm going to get you somewhere safe."

I stayed silent as the lumps moved up my arms. I scratched harshly trying to make them go away. I felt a hand on my wrist and looked over to see Jasper looking me in the eyes. A wave of calm came over me and the lumps disappeared. I was crying.

"It's ok. It's going to be ok Ophelia. We'll meet up with my family and go somewhere."

"I can't leave my mom here."

"She'll be safer if you're gone."

"I can't just leave we have to do something."

After convincing my mom that Jasper and I had a fight I ran up to my room.

"Honey, please talk to me."

I walked out of my room to grab my tooth brush and hair brush.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to drive back home. I know it's late but I need time to think. I'll stay the night at Sophie's or Nana's."

"No, you're not leaving right now. Sleep it off and we'll talk in the morning."

I went back into my room to see Jasper packing for me.

"I don't know what to say. I don't want to hurt her."

"She'll never let you leave if you don't. She'll forgive you."

I sighed and he left through the window. I stormed out of my room and down the stairs.

"Hey, let's just talk ok? Things can change, I'll stay home more ok?"

"Mom, I want to go home. This isn't my home. You arent my home, not everything is about you. Just go and work like you always do ok? Dad was right, that's all you really care about."

Her face fell. I left the house feeling like shit. I can't believe I just said that to her. I got in my car and drove off. I wanted to cry. My hands itched like crazy. I realized I didn't have my gloves. Fuck. The lumps crawled and before I even knew it Jasper was on the side of my car.

"You should let me drive."

I nodded and moved for him to get in. He looked me in the eyes and once again I was calm, but the fear in me lingered.

"She'll forgive you."

"You don't understand. I said to her what my dad did before he left us. She's never going to forgive me."

"She will."

I sighed and looked out the window. I noticed Bella's car behind us. When we got to their house we went in and the man from before stood in front of us. Jasper pushed me behind him and steadied himself.

"Wait, he's here to help," Carlisle spoke.

"James is lethal, I've never seen someone like him in my three hundred years."

He left and we went to their garage.

"I'll take Bella North," Edward started.

"No James knows you'll never leave her. He'll track you first."

"I'll take them both. Jasper and I will drive them down to Phoenix."

I got into Alice's car and sat in the back with Jasper. I laid my head on his shoulder and tried to sleep while Alice drove.

"Sleep Ophelia."

A wave of tired came over me and I knew he had made me tired. I quickly kissed his cheek before laying my head back where it was.

When i woke up it was bright out. We had made it to Phoenix and Alice was pulling into a hotel.

"We'll make a pitstop here and then get back on the road when we know where we should go," Alice spoke.

I nodded and Jasper leaned my head up to give me a kiss. I kissed him softly and we got out to go into the hotel. We went to our room after getting the key at the front desk and we all sat. Alice suddenly had a vision and Jasper went to her side. He put a pencil in her hand and she started sketching what she saw.

"He changed paths, he's headed somewhere with mirrors?"

"So the hunter changed his path to my old ballet studio?" Bella asked looking at her drawing.

Jasper looked to her.

"You know this place? It is here?"

"Yeah," she said.

I plopped on the couch.

"So he knows we aren't with Edward. He knows we're here?"

I itched my hands not looking at them. I knew what I would see.

"I'm going to go check us out early, we have to get moving again," Alice said.

"I'll come with and get some food for you guys," Jasper said standing with Alice.

I looked to him with worry in my eye. He calmed me and grabbed my hand to kiss it.

"I'll be right back."

I nodded and they left. Bella got a call and I looked away knowing it was Edward. She hung up and got another call almost immediately. I looked to her.

"Mom, mom. I'm ok I'm in Pheonix with Ophelia. Mom?."

The silence scared me. I went over to her trying to listen in.

"And I'll know if you bring your vampires. Poor mommy will pay the price for that. Bring that other girl, the sick one."

The line went dead and I looked her in the eyes.

"We should tell them. What if he's lying?"

"He'll kill my mom, we're not telling them. Please Ophelia."

I nodded and we snuck out. We got a cab and Bella told him where to go. When we got there I could hear Bella's mom.

"She's in the closet," I spoke and Bella ran over to it.

I looked around and felt creeped out.
